The largest canine on Amasis, Bronthunds are apart of a seperate group called Amasian Giant Canids to separate them from smaller canids due to some differences such as size, horns and a different nose. Bronthunds much like other AGCs are genetically modified large domestic dogs like Tibetan mastiffs and huskies. The Wryvirra liked their appearances and modified them to keep most of the traits as they evolve. They sort of attempted to make them look similar to their god, Sirius and tried implementing horns meant to grow out on the top of the head but they ended up coming out from their jaws.
Bronthunds live in the hostile badlands of Majestatis, most are domesticated by the red Beardrags that also live in the region, they’re often used to travel through the desert and hunt. Domestic bronthunds tend to have more longer manes compared to wild ones, likely due to location. Domestic bronthunds have more access to water and more options for cooling hence allowing longer manes, though Beardrags trim them back anyway to ensure they stayed cool. Both domestic and wild bronthunds are docile around people, I recommend not playing with them because they don’t know their own strength and can seriously injure or kill you on accident.
