First God for my project. Many many more to go.
More Sai practice. I love this program!!
Apparently Xolotl has a couple different forms. I chose the dogish one over the skeleton.

Wow, this should have so many more comments, and so should the rest of your work D: I don't know, the "people" here really...
Still haven't gotten used to Sai yet ;^; i deleted all the brushes and was in the process of making a set i was comfortable with but got side tracked at one point and didn't really go back to it.. well i did, but i was using like 4 brushes and they were terrible Dx.. the thing that bugs me about the brush settings is unlike open canvas 3 for example after you save a brush it's SAVED.. you can change the sizes and play around with them on the fly but with Sai I noticed that if you do that, your brushes 'stick' to what you fiddled with them at and you lose your original brush. Makes much sad but maybe there is a way around this I'm not sure. I love how it blends colours though <3
Enough of that, I should be commenting on your art D:
I really like your design here. the shapes are gorgeous for the entire flow of the character design and makes my eye travel over him from head to foot. The only real thing that fails to grab my attention is his necklaces. Perhaps it's that they sit a 'little' too flat on his chest (though that could work with his shape) they're just a tad too dark to be actively noticeable and I notice my eyes tend to circle around them while looking over his design and not actually taking note of their presence without force. Second point is I can't really make out what his staff is made out of looks like a mix of rock and metal from its shape D: which, is highly unlikely. The blade screams metal from its scythe shape while looking stone as it rounds to the back which is very rock like and then further down flows into a very forged looking handle area that looks like a forged metal like iron. If i may I suggest, adding a few highlights some richer blues to his fur and a shimmer here and there on the gold would go a long way. <3 as a concept design though this is ridiculously good <3 fantastic work ^^
