i had this safe in my truck and i hit the brakes and it slammed into the tool box and put a huge dent into it, popped the hinges off of one side, on that same side it broke the handle, its lid is bent in the middle and doesnt close fully on the broken side, i somehow broke one of the welds a few weeks later, and 2 nights ago at dennys i closed it and heard a hissing noise so i opened it back up and it was the hydraulic rod which is now blown on the same side
Id take it, drive it through my neighbors house, and the next, and the next, and the next, while listening to..... THIS. > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5w63rim65E
Indeed he is- quite talented =3

And yes, it will be detachable- note the bolts holding the lower guard on.

They are very high gears- my F150 has em, never been able to reach top speed, even downhill on a 2 mile straight. With a 7.3 T-Diesel, 10 gears, and low range on the transfer case if for some reason 1/4 of a mile per hour aint slow enough, it'll do just fine. The Road Ranger gives you a ton of under drive ratios, 9th gear is direct drive- 3rd gear in most normal car transmissions is the DD gear.
Cool. I'm looking at converting a tcase into a doubler for my 2wd truck. 10 speed with 7 "usable" gears, here I come... 1 ton axles are in the future for that truck.
Speaking of 1 tons, you should get some for your truck. Nothing like huge unbreakable axles and nice giant brakes to make a truck zombie apocalypse ready!

Yup, or a 3500 from chevy or dodge. Look at vans in the 'yards too, as some people don't look at the E-350s for parts.
With that beefy of a brush guard you'll need a strong axle in the front too. Something like a dana 60. Go for a straight axle in the front too, the IFS that the F-150 and F-250 have will change the wheel alignment when you load it down.

my changes are going to be - road armor front bumper with full headlight/grill bars and matching rear bumper, 6" black chrome aussie stacks (already have just need stack install kit), keeping the 6.0 (even tho the 7.3 is a bit better), just about as many KC's, red/blue LED lights (much like what you see on my icon), cab lights LED of course (had them on my 350, i miss them lol), complete exterior light LED conversion with smoked lens, HID headlamps, functional hood scoop supplying ram air into an AFE intake, EGR delete, swap my edge programmer for an SCT, ATS Aurora 4000 turbo with 4" DP, airdogg, water/methanol injection, firering heads with AFE head studs, southbend 8 disk ceramic clutch, 2" lift, replace front bench with buckets, onboard computer system (not a laptop). thats about it till I think of something else lol.
I'm keeping my coils and leafs, tried and true reliable technology that's extremely cheap to replace when it wears down, the problem with air ride is that it's damned expensive when it inevitably breaks. I'm nabbin some train horns to :P You might want to look into the Conductor's Special ;) With that ram air concept, you need to have your scoop almost right on the front of your hood to get the forced induction effect, otherwise it's merely for looks. I will upgrade my turbo later[once I do the swap to the 7.3]- I'm fine with any that don't hotpipe their shit.
Personally, If I were you- i'd swap over to a 7.3, the 6.0's aren't as reliable. It's just too complex of an engine; The 7.3 is a simple, bulletproof design that puts off a lot of power. While it's been argued that the Duramax is better than the 7.3 in that it puts off more power, BUT it's not as reliable. The most reliable of all of them IS the Cummins, While i do like this engine, I still like the 7.3 better. The 7.3 is almost as reliable, and puts off more power. Now, If I can find a CAT motor that'll fit in there <3
I was looking into road armor, but they didn't make stuff for old models, and I'm making mine to my specs[stronger/heavier/with 12,000lb winch] The undercarriage guard is detachable for when I want to go wheelin'
God I hate HID's they piss me off. I always turn on all my lights at them when they're going the other way. Do us a favor and don't install those, just get some good halogens.
With the KC's I'd do what I'm going to: 2 long range spots and 2 daylighter floods. those 2 smaller ones in the bumper are going to light up the sides in the front/and make it look kind cool :P
Why so many discs? I'm just gunna go Stage 2 Kevlar Clutch.
If you're going for a racetruck I guess your mods are practical, I'm going for sheer reliability, I offroad all the time, and I want my truck to be sound for the 3000 mile road trip I plan on doing next year if all goes well.

its not going to be a full air ride like you see on semis. I too am gonna keep the coils up front and a few leafs in the back. Just a lil help to smooth the ride when I'm trucking down the interstate unloaded.
As mentioned before I too like the 7.3 but sense the 6.0 is already under the hood, I'm gonna keep it. Its not as complex as it looks. I have thought about taking the 250 to Destroked and having a 2ed gen 24V installed but sense I'm getting the C20, I'll stay with the 6.0 in there. CAT does make a V8 diesel that will fit for the most part but it is hard to find and major front end work will be needed even in a one ton.
It is crappy that road armor don't make stuff for older trucks, but for mine it works. Defiantly a 12K winch is in Whitenight's future.
I love HID's. So much brighter and safer when driving in fog (which we do get ALOT of it here). The problem with aftermarket HID conversions is people don't know how to properly aim them. Halogens can be aimed to the pinpoint but with the HIDs, they have to be re-aimed. People don't know that is needed, I do.
I currently have two rear facing work lights on my headache rack. Soon to come will be 4 Baja's (lower profile) facing forward on the rack and 4 KC's or Hellas (haven't decided yet) on the road armor.
When I say 8 discs, it's 4 on one side and 4 on the other. Not 8 all on one side.
I may or may not put all that stuff under the hood. Defiantly the head studs, EGR delete, SCT & turbo upgrade. The rest, mah, IDK.

Oh ok gotcha.
Idk why you'd destroke it, loose your torque that way. Yeah, in that case keeping the 6 does make sense.
Even the ones that are properly aimed piss me off rofl- they hit one bump and it blinds me with the intensity of a thousand suns x3
Nice setup- gunna be Hella [har har] expensive.
What is the advantage to having multiple discs? just a smoother shift? The Kevlar one does that to. Also- replacing 8 clutches is alot more expensive than replacing just 1.
Yeah, those are necessary, but the meth injection and such I don't really see the purpose unless you'll be racing your 7000lb truck =P

Destroked is a company that takes the Powerstroke out and replaced it with a Cummins. Ford makes a hell of a truck but the engine lacks a bit. Dodge makes a shity truck but has a great engine. So Destroked combines the best of both.
The HID set up your talking about have the halo eyes which, yes, do infact blind the hell out of ya on a bump. Mine does not have the halo eyes. The bulb still sits behind the reflective cover reflecting to the back which then emits out.
It will be a nice setup and not all that expensive. Being a firefighter has it perks.
Ok, I had a major brain fart, twice lol. only one disk but 8 pads, 4 on each side.
You are correct, all those other mods are for racing. I might do a grudge race every once in awhile and same for a sled pull but not all the time to warrant those other mods.
