So, this guy newbear83 sends me a request for some artwork through notes, tempting me with cookies and whatnot. Sneaky guy, 'eh? Seriously, though, I had some fun sketching this.
He wanted a suit of armor with a gun-arm in some Steampunk style, and what is depicted is that which I've come up with. The gun-arm itself in something I've mulled over for a time. It acts as a electromagnetic repulsion mechanism, a device roughly the size of a large watermelon worn around the wielder's forearm with the trigger and handle grasped near the "barrel". The indented part you see there at the base of the device acts as a gyroscope, specially designed to spin vertically, harnessing the ionosphere and focusing the excess energy of heated up particles to the tip of the barrel, where it can then be focused to a fine point for greater range and smaller area, up to a broad span but short distance covered.
Mind you, this is all Steampunk whatnot and soforth, meaning it needs some magic-science to actually work.
NewBear83 (This guy kept bugging me about the status on this.)
(Thanks for bugging me, dude.)
Peace.

That actually looks very cool! The helmet manages to look very bear-like despite remaining clearly a knight's helmet and that's impressive. Nice job on the smoke effect. My only complain would be that his right shin looks to be a bit misshapen but that's just my personal observation.
Thanks! I think it's the ear purchases that gives such a depiction of being ursine. I'm rather pleased with how the smoke came out, I suppose there's something I can do right. Hmm, yes, the right shin looks a bit off; I noticed that, but I s'pose I considered it just an odd angle of perception, rather than misshapen.
Ah the Bear cavalry, reminds me of this time I was being attacked in Serbia in the 2009s, Bears, everywhere, with their huge, bulking cannons shooting acres of these white plasma beams everywhere that had this effect of being hot as hell but cool to room temperature almost immediately, they were big and hairy and good lord I've never seen so much leather, it was-...
... Oh... Oh wait... Sorry, wrong Bears, my bad!
This is pretty cool stuff, dude! You've definitely got quite the imagination to work out stuff like this :D

I bet those ursine plasma cannons had a helluva recoil, 'eh? 'Eh? I would bet that their weaponry was best powered by silicon cylindrical cells inserted into the butt of the gun; sometimes of different colors and shapes, depending on the gunbear.
And thank you, I like dipping into my innovation from time to time. :3
