Something that Jax doesn't often say to any friends is that he has an older brother, who mainly helps keep Sparn under control, but without being seen by anybody else.
His older brother, Viton, had been looking for Jax for two years after he was taken by the tribe when he was only a young hatchling. He never gave up hope on finding his younger brother, one way or another. One day, however, while he was walking, trying to find anything he could, anything at all, to even give him the slightest possible hint about where his brother could be, a huge lightning bolt struck him.
As one may expect, he almost died, but was immediately knocked out cold. As a result, he staggered over and fell right into a bubbling tar pit he was walking alongside to pass. But instead of dying in the tar, his body seemed to......make it lift him back up. He regained consciousness, and saw himself floating in the tar and able to move as if it was water.
Shocked, he got to the edge and climbed out, and he could see the tar seeming to lightly move, as if towards him. Then, he got a thought and lifted his hand. As if by magic, the tar lifted up in a tall spike to the same level his hand was at. He was shocked. Somehow he had gained the ability to manipulate tar in any way that he could've wanted.
While he had no ideas how this could've proven helpful, he continued his search for his brother, and happened to find him the next day. Jax and him clung to each other tightly as they'd both missed one another. But, it was growing on sunset and Jax tried to flee, terrified of Sparn killing his only family. But Viton refused to leave, he didn't care if Sparn killed him. At least he could die happy knowing his little brother was safe and alive. But much to his surprise, Sparn recognized the brotherly bond between Viton and Jax, and he respectfully left him be, and promised Jax that he would never lay a single claw on his brother.
That was fun, XD. I really like writing these backstories, especially when I can really get into it. I had a lot of fun with this one ^^.
