Assuming they even want kids in the first place. Hell that's ignoring that in the universe in which they exist, there's all sorts of whacky tech that can do impossible things, we kinda forget a lot of the time, but those Data-spirit people like Digit for one.

I'd consider it entirely plausible in that universe for two women to have a child together without needing surrogacy or a sperm donation, tech like that is already plausible in the real world.
