Had a very vivid dream the other night. Dreamed about a large old Victorian style amusement park in an isolated area. The dream centered around two men closing it up for the winter and staying on to watch it. In the first part they're closing up buildings and later goofing around. Its pretty quiet early on. Later a former friend and ex coworker, an unstable young man with an angry streak and strong dillusions, returns and goes after them. I'm not sure what motive was. Guessing some sort of fallout with his friends along with a persecution complex. I wish I was any good at writing, and I'd flesh it out, haha. But I no longer have the talent or patience to do such things. Just the setting alone was very interesting though. Amusement park with a number of stalls, rides, roofed outdoor theater, big top, etc. Was built around a hot spring on a hill in a rural area.
I dunno what year this was supposed to take place. Park was built in the Victorian era, late 1800s, and kept the aesthetic, building all later buildings in Victorian Queen Anne style. A large tree filled green space between the park and the road served as picnic grounds. The tower pictured, along with the entranceway, a second identical water tower on the opposite end of the park, and an elaborate wrought iron fence, are the only things along the road. Once a water tower hidden by an elaborate castle like facade, the tower pictured was later altered to house the water slides pictured. The other tower is completely original and still used for water storage. Events above had to take place in the 1980s or later with the waterpark.
