One thing I've learned during the past month in the furry fandom: It helps a lot if your character has a few trademarks that make him unique. I don't know why - maybe I watched to many swing music videos. But I wanted to have Hugin wear a cool waist coat. And as his fur is black and white I wanted him to wear a bracelet around his arm as jewelery.
