
So anyway I'm taking that AHiT OC and making it it's own thing, like I knew I would.
THE KYR
-Race of goat-like creatures comprised mostly of followers of the religious sect of the same name. While not every Kyr follows said religion, it is a good 70/30 split, and thus are all assumed to unless proven otherwise.
-Devout Kyr are made up of arcane mages who have reached the spectral world of creation, and can be identified by their pupil-less, glowing eyes, a sign of connection to said world.
-Kyr establish connection to the spectral world in adolescence. Upon obtaining this connection, they choose a new name for themselves, and leave home to travel the world, seeking knowledge and beauty, only returning to their homeland in their later years to share what they've seen.
-Most follow a doctrine of "beautifying" the world. While the scripts are vague, it generally means helping others, protecting the weak, keeping the land clean, etc, as well as promotion of "living free to one's self" to others (many older Kyr go on to become wandering preachers).
-Despite them being world travelers, Kyr are not that common. 1 in 10 people will have seen a few in their life, but they are more heard of rather than seen. As such, vile rumors spread, and they are distrusted by many factions of the world for their "unnatural power", assumed lazy lifestyle, and "corruption of the youth". One evidence they support this distrust with is that the Kyr's deity, Settia, was a partying drunkard who shunned any actual godly responsibility (which is true, but the latter half of her texts promoted the idea of both living free and doing what you can to help others do the same).
ZISA
-Runt of a litter of 7 who just recently reached adulthood and begun her world journey.
-Was encouraged to stay home longer due to her small nature, but she left home regardless.
-Always preferred being alone, unusual among the Kyr.
-Despite her loner nature, she is very friendly and approachable. She always reads up on whatever land she is travelling to and follows social customs to a T. Granted this is more out of wanting to draw attention away from her status as Kyr rather than out of desire to befriend anyone. She does follow the core tenants of her religion to be good to others, but till prefers solitude on the whole.
-Greets everyone as "Brother/Sister", a common Kyr trait.
-Constantly stims with her hands; flexing fingers, cracking knuckles, spinning small objects, etc.
-Somewhat of a bard. She is a talented Solstring (native Soltet instrument) player. While she plays only as a hobby, she will accept any money given to her.
-Terrible with money. Used to surviving on little, she will immediately spend any money she makes.
-Loves jokes/bad puns. Will crack up even at her own jokes before finishing them.
-Excellent cook and teabrewer...by Kyr standards. The Kyr have dulled senses of taste due to their highland home having very thin air, so she tends to overseason. What tastes normal to her can be sensory overload or even deadly to others.
-Magically attuned, albeit not as well as her siblings. She knows a few spells, mostly fire based, but her energy pool is small and she tires easily.
