Chapter 1 – Tea and Strings
Bzzt! Bzzt! Bzzt! Went the cell, rousing Legoshi from his peaceful slumber. He had awoken in his cozy bunk, thanks to the combination of his phone, the morning light coming into the dorm and peaking though his fabric curtain, plus the noise of his dorm-mates, and from the sound of it, they must've been particularly vitalized. Pulling himself up from the comfy feeling of his bed and stretching his toned arms out, a much needed yawn left his parted muzzle while several bones in his back popped in the place; sending a shuddering sensation running all though his healthy frame. Reaching for his phone, he tapped the screen and the first thing to pop up was a picture of himself and Juno, posing for the camera with her genially kissing his cheek, eyes blissfully closed and himself, sharing the sentiment with a smile of his own. Legoshi lingered for a moment, an effusively warm smile grew on his face the more he looked at it.
'Hard to believe its been only a whole year. Time sure does fly...' A mirthful chuckle followed after his thoughts. 'I'll have to get something special for her come next week. Just don't know what... I'll ask Sadako-san when I get the chance. Speaking of which...'
Swiping up on the screen, he had a message from exactly her. Tapping on the icon, it read that the Cups and Crystals was short on staff and that they needed his help.
'Oh, looks like I'm needed for the rest of today. Let me just...' taking the moment, he typed a response and hit the send button, completing the menial task. 'Done. I'd best get ready...'
Pulling the curtain to the side and swinging his legs out, Legoshi stood up and stretched once more with a grunt. It didn't go unnoticed, as Jack, Voss, Collot, Durham, and Miguno all turned to him, currently putting on the last pieces of their uniforms.
“Oh, Morning, guys.” Legoshi started with a simple greeting.
“Legoshi!” Jack started, being the first one to approach him. “ It's 7:30, dude! Classes start in an hour and you're not dressed yet!”
“Oh... yeah. I'm not going to class today,” was the wolf's reply, while slipping out of his bunk and walking over to his own little space in the wall where an assortment of his clothes and shoes were. Reaching inside, he pulled out a simple, white long sleeved collared shirt, black dress pants, a black tie and matching black slip-proof oxford work shoes, topping it off with the coffee colored apron with his name tag on it. “I got a text from my boss, we're short a staff member and I volunteered to fill in the position. So, I won't be back until tonight.”
“The entire day?” Jack summarized
“That's a full 9 to 5. I thought you only did part time?” Collot followed up.
“Yeah, I do, but today is an exception. A worker called in sick, and I'm the only one available. So, I agreed. Besides... I'm getting paid extra plus tips!”
“Ah, the benefits of the Student-Part/Full time job program. I think it's high-time I start looking for one myself.” Miguno pointed out, finding it interesting how Legoshi made it work for himself.
“I'm surprised you haven't, Miguno. I thought you had a high B average... you're qualified to apply.”
“I do, but I put all or my focus into school, plus my band tops it off. After graduation, I'll start looking around. Still, I'm surprised how you managed to hold down a job, keep your grades up AND attend the drama club.”
“It's been a Rexsend, I admit. It was... difficult in the beginning, but after the last 9 months in my first year, things just... began to flow. Now, it's crazy simple. Plus, I wouldn't have been able get my phone without it. So, because of that, I'm gonna make use of today and hopefully find something fantastic this Friday.”
“And that being?” Voss asked from Collot shoulder.
“It means he has something special planned for Juno, isn't that right, Legoshi?” Collot chuckled, looking in the tall wolf's direction.
“Pretty much, yeah. Gonna make sure it's something great, something that she'll really love.” The gray wolf mused a moment longer, a tinge of red appearing on his cheeks, whenever his girlfriend was mentioned.
“She's already dating you, man. Can't get anymore special than that!” Durham, pointed out, all of them knowing about how the female wolf was smitten with Legoshi.
“I know, I know. Still, I want to do this. Juno's been amazing, the least I can do is give her something which reflects that, y'know? The only problem, I'm still trying to figure that out...”
“A bit hard to believe it's been an entire year since you two started dating. We're already seniors, now.” This time it was Jacks turn to muse as the last two years just went by in a flash and already, they had that entire year left before they graduated.
“I'm still amazed how he's dating and banging one of the hottest girls in the academy.” Durham stepped over and ribbed Legoshi in that rough, but playful manner. “C'mon, man, spill! What's your secret?? Is it the height? The muscles? ...The ability to get her to scream your name?”
“Durham...!” A deep shade of red colored Legoshi's cheeks, but that only got a grin out of the coyote.
“HA! So it IS true~ I figured as much! Then again, given your stature...” Durham scanned the wolf up and down, that same smug expression never leaving. “must be nice to have the ability to make a girl wet for you, when walking by~”
“S-Shut up, man! You don't know what you're talking about!” was Legoshi's only comeback, far too flustered to think of anything else. That got a laugh out of his friends, and he couldn't help but smile as well, sharing in the moment.
“Alright, alright... that's enough of teasing Romeo. He has a long day ahead of him, and we don't need the guy getting distracted.” Collot stepped in, sparing his friend from further embarrassment.
“I'll say... it's early enough as it is...” Legoshi turned to proceeded to the adjacent room just before the exit, glad to finally be spared anymore of the Coyote's prodding and jabs. It was gonna be a long one today, possibly busy. Still, it was a wonder and a blessing that, aside from knowing Jack his entire life, how he made sure great friends with them.
- - - - - - - - - - - -
As the 701 boys all walked into the Common room, the first thing that greeted them were the student's gossiping among each others, in a somewhat panicked whispers that carried throughout the area, the bit of tension was picked up on, by the six of them. Didn't matter where they looked, it was either: some were on the phones and scrolling about, some were huddled in smaller groups talking with each other, or some were watching the High-def television, the 8:00 am news was playing.
It went without saying, that something happened.
“Yeesh... Talk about your defeated expression. That's something you'd see on a Monday morning.” Collot mentioned while looking around, able to hear some whispers among the other students.
“You'd think someone up and died or some shit...” Durham commented in reply.
“Durham... c'mon, man. Don't say that...” Legoshi griped at the mere thought of that.
“Hey, I'm just saying! Obviously I don't mean it.”
Before anything else was said, a familiar striped tiger came jogging from the other side of the room to the canine crew, a bit of hurry in his steps.
“Hey, guys! Did ya hear abo- whoa...” his eyes fell on Legoshi as he came to a stop, taking a second to analyze his canis friend from top to bottom. He was used to him in either casual or school wear, so to see him dressed so professionally was a bit of a 180, but not in a bad way. “Damn, dude. You clean up nicely! Not our school uniform, but not a bad substitute either...”
“Ah, thanks for the compliment, Bill, but you're right. These are my work clothes. I'm off to my job.” Legoshi replied to the Bengal tiger.
“Job? ...Oh! Right, the whole Job program thing. I forgot about that, but that's not what I came to talk about. Did any of you guys check out BeastBook, yet? Or even the news?”
“No, we haven't,” Jack spoke up this time. “Why, did something happen?”
“You mean you don't know? Someone was murdered.”
Shock ran over the six at the sudden announcement and Durham couldn't help but feel a bit spooked for making such a claim. But from the looks of it, Bill wasn't done. He was letting them process. “It wasn't anyone from our school, but still,”
“When did it happen?” Legoshi questioned, wanting to know as much as he could.
“Last night, somewhere out in the streets. A body was found by a random person and they called the cops. Take a look at the TV,” Bill pointed the way with his head for them to witness. “They're about to talk about it again.”
They all walked over and joined the crowd, just in time for the news anchor to appear; a slender female feline with dark gray fur and a white undercoat, dressed in a simple. Her eyes a dark blue and focused forward, her expression poised and even. “And now we continue with the latest report coming from the Osaka prefecture this morning,”
In the upper right hand screen, appeared a photo of leopard, but with the covered with a blur, masking the identity of the victim. It was a photo of the head, making it hard to see what exactly was being worn, while the news anchor continued. “Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Worker; Ringo, age 45, was found deceased in the urban back alleyway of the Kehanshin Industrial Zone of the Osaka prefecture at 3:00am. Reports of two gunshots were heard by the anonymous caller, whom was out for his daily early morning jog. The assailant remains unknown at this time and the investigation is still pending with the police hard at work. We urge residents of both regions exercise caution when traveling alone and recommend traveling with a partner or a group for any length of time. We'll return with more information later today.”
The segment had ended and went about with various news tidbits playing on-screen. Needless to say, this got everyone in the common room talking up a storm.
“He was from Yokohama, but found dead in Osaka? That's an 8 hour drive from here! How'd he get all the way over there?!” Jack uttered while reaching for his phone, logging into BeastBook, seeing that the recent events was being talked about in his circle.
“Not only is that weird, but it's fucking creepy too. How in the fuck does the guy get from here to the Industrial Zone? You'd think he was abducted or some shit...” Durham added, finding the situation completely bizarre.
“Your guess is as good as mind. It's... disturbing, that's for sure.” Said Collot, taking the opportunity to ponder the subject. “No doubt the entire school is going to be abuzz for the rest of the day.”
“I'll say. Some of the guys here are already comin' up with some crazy theories. Saying things the dude shot in the back of the head - Executioner Style and double tapped to make sure he was dead. Some are of the idea that the caller was the shooter and is faking innocence.” Bill chipped into the conversation.
“If that were the case, they would've shown his face and have him in jail already. What do you think, Legoshi?” Jack turned his attention to his friend, waiting on an answer.
“I honestly have no idea. It's still too soon to make conclusions and we have too little to go on. No amount of speculation is going to help until we know more.” was the wolf's reply, finding himself thinking hard about what they were just told, but knew he'd have to put it on hold. He had to be at the station to catch his train and couldn't afford to miss it. “In any case, I need to get going. I'll see you guys tonight. If I'm not too tired I'll bring back something.”
“Alright, man. We'll see you later. Just be careful out there.”
With a wave, Legoshi departed the area, knowing that he had a long day ahead of him, there was no better time then now to get in gear.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
As Legoshi sat in one of the seats of the bullet train, the scenery of the cities passing by was something he came to appreciate these last three years when either going to work or coming back to the dorms. There was still some time before arriving in Shizuoka, so he took the opportunity to browse about BeastBook. He wasn't one for social media, seeing it less as a boon and more as a “portable headache in the palm of your hand” as he put it. The only reason for having one, was for his buddy, Jack. In the events he couldn't reach him by text or phone call, he could always send him a message via the app, knowing he'd always respond. As annoying as it was, he had to admit, it was useful for getting information as fast as possible.
But given the events of today, it was less truth and more speculation than anything.
As true as Bill's words to him were, Beastbook was on fire about the latest incident. Some even going so far as to come up with crackpot suggestions as to how a guy goes from Yokohama to Osaka in the span of 8 hours with no car or any means of transportation.
“Man, that does not make any sense. Just how in the world does a guy travel 300 miles and not get noticed?” Legoshi analyzed, trying to put what little pieces of the puzzle he had together.
His train of thought was interrupted by the screen shifting from the BeastBook home page, to Juno's picture and number appearing on screen. He went from abstraction about the mystery to elation of his girlfriend in the span of a second, the moment it happened. His tail thumping a little on the seat. Then an idea came into mind and he knew that she'd love it. Tapping the call icon, he spoke into the receiver.
“But soft, what light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliette is the sun~”
Feeling a sense of frivolity, Juno played along, doing her best impression of the character, knowing that he found it both amusing and alluring. “O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo?”
Her performances always landed, no matter what bit she did. Plus, the sweet, loving sound of her voice, always made him smile. Be it, when talking with him about anything that came to mind, or when riding him during their more intimate moments, Legoshi just loved listening to her. “Well, my fair lady... Romeo is well on his way to work. I'm going to be there the entire day.”
“The whole day...” Juno replied, a bit of disappointment in her tone. “Aren't you a part-time worker?”
“I am, but my boss begged me to come in today. A worker called in sick and they were short on staff. So I'm on duty. Thankfully, I'm getting paid extra, so that's good trade-off.”
Ah, I see. In that case, did you do the Job Program fill out? Make sure you're marked for classes?”
“Yep and double yep. I did that, the moment I got on the train. All of today's work will be emailed and ready to completed by the time I get back to the dorm tonight.”
“That's wonderful to hear, my responsible Wolf.” Juno praised, knowing that would get his tail wagging. “It is a shame, though... being stuck with boring, dreaded makeup work tonight... I was kinda hoping to make use of the shed in the Gardening Club. Haru let me borrow the key and everything~”
Legoshi could only whine at the idea of hearing Juno moaning and mewling in whatever position they did it in. It certainly didn't help when face to face, and her eyes would glisten in the dark. “Junooo... come on, not when I have to go to work...”
An adorable giggle escaped her, but she couldn't help teasing him, even just a little bit though. “I'm sorry, Sweetie. I just had to get one in today. I'll be good~”
“I'm gonna hold you to that, you know...”
“I'm hoping that you do. Speaking of which, did you see the news this morning?” The tone in her voice went from cheerful to a bit more concerned.
“About the guy being found dead? Yeah, I got wind of it back in the dorms from Bill and the others. Hell, BeastBook is still talking about it.”
“Sheila and Els told me as much, too. It doesn't make sense how someone can be that far from home and no one would notice...”
“To be honest, I find the whole thing creepy, at best, but I'm trying not to think too hard about it. We don't know any more than what was told. The best we can do is just wait until we get more info.” Legoshi pointed, hoping to get Juno's mind off of it and not have her worrying too much.
“Yeah, that seems like the best option. Still, the fact that it did happen... scary. I wish you had a job closer to the dorms, Lego-kun. You always go so far for the one you currently have.” Juno whined a little, concerned for his safety.
Legoshi smiled warmly at his pet name, finding it endearing when called that. “I'm sorry to worry you, my dear. It is indeed far and the pay great, but come graduation, I'll be looking for something much closer to home, that way, you won't have to worry so much. Tell you what, I'm off Saturday, so we can spend the entire day together, plus, I can bring you over to the Cups and Crystals cafe. It's a lovely shop, plus they have your favorite- Strawberry Cream Crepes~”
“Ohhh! You know how much I like sweets. Alright, it's a date! I'll be sure to pick out something cute to wear.”
“Will it match your eyes?”
“Oh, trust me. You'll love- Oh! It's almost time for my next class. Have a good day at work, Darling! I love you~”
Those three simple words always got his heart fluttering, no matter how many times he heard them. Combined with her loving voice, a surge of energy ran throughout the wolf, super charging him in a way. “I-I love you too, Starlight. See you later.”
The last thing he heard was a kissing noise, before she hung up and Legoshi only slumped in the seat, the widest smile was on his face as he stared up at the ceiling, his tail still thumping in place and his face still flushed. He could only wonder, just what did he do to deserve such a lady like her? Whatever the case, he was thankful for it and felt even more energized than ever. Not even the busy day ahead would be able to slow him down.

It certainly WAS a busy day, even for the coffee shop. Noon had come and the employees, Legoshi included, were all over the establishment tending to the orders of the patrons, varying of shapes and sizes. They either: came in and ordered, paid and left or lingered for a bit and chatted. On the topic of chattering, news of what happened in Osaka had reached here in Shizuoka as well. It was a pretty hot topic among the patrons, but he paid it no mind, simply focusing on his work. Overall, he was still on high from this morning, and it did little to stop him from smiling to himself.
Returning a customer's card, along with a receipt, Legoshi politely bowed. “Thank you for choosing Cups and Crystals, sir. May the rest of your day be sweet and half full.”
As he watched his departure, a sigh of relief left his muzzle, pleased with another satisfied customer! As he tucked away the tip that was left on the table, a tap on the shoulder caught his attention. Turning, he saw that a beige-furred wolf had a smile on her face and patted him on the shoulder in appreciation.
“Ah, Sadako-san. Is there something else you needed me to do?” Legoshi asked, waiting on her reply.
“That, and I also wanted to say thanks for coming in today. It was going to be a busy one, but luckily, things are calming down now. You're a life saver, Legoshi!” she praised, a look of approval on her face.
“Oh, it's no problem. Always happy to help out when I can.”
“I'll say. You've been one of the most model employees I've had. Even inspired some of the newer ones to get their act together. In any case, I'll be putting in a good word to your headmaster at the end of your shift. Also, there's one more customer you'll be serving then you're on break. He's outside at table 3. Good luck!”
With that, Sadako left, attending to her own duties. With a nod and still on the clock, Legoshi made haste to his next customer.
- - - - - - - - -
Stepping outside, causing the door to ring the shop bell, Legoshi looked out to see that indeed, there was a patron waiting. Taking a closer look, he noticed the customer was a gray wolf, just like himself, but his pelt was a pale, almost ghastly, white color that near blended with the light of the sun. Not only that, but he had his eyes closed the entire time, as if he were in a trance of some sort and noticed the sound of a guitar that was being strummed; a simply tune of the chords that was pleasant to the ears. It seemed that he decided to pass the time with a bit of practicing while waiting.
'That must be the guy. Alright, let's do this-' Legoshi's train of thought was halted when the strumming abruptly stopped and an icy shudder ran through his entire body. It was then, that the white wolf was staring his way, eyes remaining closed and a frowning expression in place while remaining uncannily focused on him. Recoiling at the suddenness, he was caught off guard, to say the least. Regardless, he still had a job to do.
Walking up to the wolf, the expression went from neutral to harsh and the frown tightened, causing Legoshi to feel that sensation again. Shaking it off, he offered his warmest welcoming face, wanting to make a good first impression. Taking out a pen and pad from the apron, he rested the ink-pointed tip against blank sheet, prepared to take his request. “Welcome to Cups and Crystals, Sir. I'll happily take your order if you're ready. How may I help you today?”
The white wolf didn't say anything, only keeping silent while fixated on Legoshi's face. This went on for a few more seconds and Legoshi tried again. “Um... Sir? Are you ready to order?”
Nothing was said and awkwardness began to set in. Legoshi figured that he might've needed more time to prepare and If that was the case, he'd come back in a few minutes and try again. “...I... see that you're not ready to order. That's alright, not a problem! I'll just give you a coupl-”
“OHHHH! You're to be my server today? Ah, wonderful!” the wolf said with elation, a series of dainty claps with his hands followed. “Joyous of joyous days! It's a pleasure to meet you, Legoshi-kun.”
While the white wolf's expression changed from harsh to a more friendly one, albeit, his eyes remaining closed, Legoshi was completely thrown off thanks to the sudden shift in the personality. Not only that, but the fact he knew his name was even more disturbing. He found himself at a loss of words, this until the white wolf resumed talking.
“Oh, you're wondering how I knew your name?”
“Y-yeah. I don't recall telling you... So how-”
“Because it's on your name-tag, see?” he pointed to the id card pinned on his apron. “That is your name, is it not?”
Legoshi looked down to see that indeed it was there, causing the gray wolf to suddenly feel a bit silly for someone saying his name when it was on display. He could only chuckle sheepishly in reply with a nod following. “Ah, yeah. That's my name. Apologizes for acting that way.”
“No harm done! That's why I was staring at you. See, I have rather horrendous vision of things up close, so I was reading your name while you were still at the door. When you got closer, it got harder to read.”
“Oh, you're farsighted? I'm sorry, sir, I didn't realize.”
The white wolf only chuckled, waving his hand in a friendly manner. “It's alright, you couldn't have known. It's not exactly common knowledge. That said and once more, it's a pleasure, again, to meet you, Legoshi-kun. You said you were going to take my order?”
“Ah, yes!” clicking the pen and putting it to the pad, he began taking the order, listening to what the white wolf wanted.
- - - - - -
“Ahhh, heavenly~ The raw bitter taste, the hint of sweetness, the warm, smooth, silky liquid texture... This savory elixir is fantastic! My compliments to the chef.” The white wolf praised while taking another sip.
“I'm pleased that you find it to your liking. Is there anything else that you'd like to order? Cheesecake? Crumpets? Or are you satisfied with your purchase?” Legoshi asked while standing beside the wolf, serving tray held under his arm.
“No, no. This is all the caffeine I'll need for today. They say that coffee is the Nectar of the God... or so I'm told, anyways. You can never really tell when it comes to exaggerations or their verbatim. Still, this is quite good! I'll have to make this my go-to for coffee.”
“We're always pleased to have repeat customers at Cups and Crystals.”
“Well then, consider me on loop, because I don't plan on getting tired of this place!” Another sip followed before setting the cup back down. “Speaking of which... Now that I look at you, you're kinda young to be working here... ironic, coming from a 19 year old. Are you a student at Cherryton Academy, by any chance?”
“Uh, yes, actually. I am. I'm just a part-time worker here. How'd you figure that?”
“It's only one of THE most prestigious academies in Yokohama, so I figured I'd take a guess. 'Sides, we're in Shizuoka, so that's the closest school one would go to, if they live here.”
“I knew Cherryton was special, but I didn't think it was that special.”
“It's so well known, that even students from North America often apply for a scholarship to come here. Only a select few ever made it. In any case,” the wolf gulped down the last contents of the coffee, setting the cup aside. “I believe I've dallied here long enough. There's still plenty to do and see before the day ends!”
“I'm glad to be of service. Let me just ring up your total and-”
“Nah, it's alright.” was the white wolf's reply while reaching for his wallet. “I already did the math in my head. It's gonna come out to ¥ 1,481.”
“...Yeah. That's exactly how much it'll be, sir.” Legoshi replied as he waited on the pay. A bit weirded out by how this guy knew the exact amount, but probably figured he was a mathematician if he was smart enough to do the math without a calculator. Upon receiving the payment, the white wolf stood up from his seat. His guitar, now packed in its casing and slung over his shoulder, He walked over to Legoshi and patted his shoulder, offering a friendly smile.
“Well, this was a most wondrous turn of events! Fantastic coffee, a new place to hang out and I possibly made a new friend. Truly a joyous day indeed.”
“Thank you for choosing Cups and Crystals, sir. May the rest of your day be sweet and half full!” Legoshi stated, taking hold of the used cup and saucer.
“It already is. Also, this is tip for your wonderful service.” Out of his pocket, he pulled out a ¥ 5,000 banknote and held it in front Legoshi before slipping it into the apron pocket.
“S-sir, that's too much, I can't accept that...” stammered the wolf, surprised just how much he was getting from a simple tip. But the white wolf wouldn't hear it, only smiling as he patted his shoulder again.
“Nonsense, you provided great service and pleasant company, plus, I like ya. You're a cool guy, Legoshi-kun. I get the feeling I'll be see you around more often.” With that, he proceeded to walk off, leaving the the gray wolf still standing there.
'¥ 5,000?! I can finally buy Juno a gift and I'll still have a surplus leftover!' Legoshi thought to himself, still reeling a bit. It was still then, that he remembered something important. “Hey, wait! I didn't get your name!”
The white wolf stopped and turned to look at him, a surprised expression on his face... only for it to turn playful. “I didn't? Ahaha! That was intentional, my friend. I'm not going to tell you my name, not yet, that is. I'll be a regular here, remember? You'll have plenty of chances to try and get it out of me. Until then... how do the locals say it? Oh yes. Sayonara~”
And with that, the white wolf began walking away and Legoshi was the only one there. He could only marvel at the enormous tip he had gotten, but knew that there was no way that he convince him to change his mind. With a shrug, he only accepted it and went back to doing his job, deciding to put it out of his mind.

The hours were long and the day was longer, but dusk was now creeping over the horizon. Legoshi's day-long shift was at an end and as courtesy from Sadako, he would be given an extra day off as a means for using up a school day. He was tired, but not to the point of exhaustion which was good. He still had a whole day of school work to complete, and the sooner he got them done, the sooner he could get some sleep. Sadly, he couldn't keep his promise of bringing back something for the boys, but there was always next time.
Upon Cherryton's academy gate, the lamp-lights shining overhead, he was greeted by a familiar lavender scent that got his tail wagging again. He knew that aroma anywhere and instantly, he felt a bit more rejuvenated. Rounding the corner, he was greeted by Juno, who was standing on the other side of the school perimeter and still dressed in her standard uniform. Her own tail wagging and a radiant smile on her face the moment she saw him.
She was happily awaiting his return and with arms extended, they embraced, the moment he was close enough.
“Evening, Starlight. I wasn't expecting a star to be out this soon.”
The comment was met with a warm kiss on the lips. Their muzzles connected for a moment, and both wolves savored the act a tad longer before it was broken. Juno leaned back and looked him directly in the eyes, her smile even larger.
“Welcome home. Did you have a good day?” Juno asked while releasing him, taking hold of his hand into hers and standing at his side.
“It was. A lot more busy than usual, but overall, it went well.” interlocking fingers, the two of them began walking, making their way back to the student dorms before curfew had a chance to go into effect.
“I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. Plus, the scent of coffee grains suits you~”
“I've come to find the smell very pleasant. Also, soothing. You're going to love it there come Saturday.”
“Ever the gentleman, aren't you, dearest?”
“I try, I try.”
“And you succeed every time.”
The pair shared a laugh as they continued walking, always comfortable in each other's company. “By the way, Juno, I met this guy today at my job.”
“A guy?” Her expression looking perplexed. “What kind of guy?”
“I dunno, he was kinda weird. Not bad weird, but polite weird. He seemed cool though, I guess.” Legoshi admitted.
“Weird, huh? well, you do have that ability to attract all kinds of people, you know. That's how you got me~”
“Yeah, but you're not weird. You're my lovely Juliette and I'm always happy to be around you.” Legoshi admitted while leaning over, placing a kiss on her cheek.
“Flatter~ The feeling is heavily the same, Romeo.” Juno replied while snuggling up to him. The two of them made idle conversation was they continued along the cobblestone pathway. The nightly setting of the Academy was a calming one and made even better when Legoshi came back from work, always seeing Juno wait for him to come home. He could only smile as the both of them continued their little stroll.
The events of today, seemingly far away.
To be continued...
Hope you enjoyed Chapter 1 and are looking forward to Chapter 2 soon.
