I like the very specific cartoony vibe of this particular style they portrayed their characters with. It doesn't feel very specific but then again this sounds like a cartoon from Europe! I don't truly have any experience with any animation styles from Europe, but I do know that cartoons - much like music and other artforms of expression and self-expression - transcend, if not, pervades the very universe itself.
Actually there had been plenty of animes, that were co productions bedween Germany and Japan. And sometimes even Austria participated in that business. Those tv shows had become classics and evergreens.
Here are some examples:

Heidi looks like it was animated by the man who animated or drew Astro Boy from its earlier eras.
The other three look a bit like they were mostly Europe who animated them, well, TaoTao I can't really say because it looks like it definitely could be Japanese!
If you told me that Biene Maja and Wickie were co-animated by Germany and Japan, I likely wouldn't believe you at first!

Astro Boy was created by Osamu Tezuka, the "God of Manga", who literally drew thousands of manga-comic pages
Astro Boy, Jungle Emperor Leo, Hinotori, Dororo, Buddha, those are some examples of his works. Rather dark topics sometimes, covered in adorable character design.

I think it would have to be the Bridge Fox from an episode of 'Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics', which also was an anime. Here's the episode: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYUGBeazn9g
Another more villainous fox and one whom isn't as familar, so as always there's the fun of discovering new characters as well as another of your interpretations of characters as anthros. From what I've read on him it seems he's a little like Slagar in starting out as fairly harmless and not so competent, becoming more dangerous and seeking vengeance though ultimately in the end differing in that he instead set aside his vengeance and found a new start after falling in love.
I imagine here before he was gagged he was making all kinds of threats and swearing revenge, probably also having made a thorough menace of himself. Ultimately though he might be viewed as more of a nuisance than the master villain he considers himself to be. Considering just how grumpy he is though it was thought that he could do with a long spell in the stocks with the thought of seeing just how long he could maintain the attitude as goose feathers began to be handed out to the gathered crowds.
