Staring down a deadly beast many times your own size, fearlessly contending with its onslaught of attacks to create an opening for others...
This is what Craddock lives for.
This is what I live for.
Craddock is incredibly tough. Stubbornly refusing to be knocked out of the fight! He may not seem very magically inclined on a day to day basis. After all most of the things he loves to do don't require anything more than endurance, ingenuity, and wings! And only those close to him will ever see him use magic directly, and it's still rare at that. But if you watch this dragon in battle, you will be quickly convinced that he has a supernatural fervor running through his veins. He is able to take mortal blows and get back up, with weaker hits simply bouncing off his armor. He heals from his wounds surprisingly quickly, and if he believes victory is attainable he will show no hesitation.
With such a resilient force of will keeping his foe's attention for far longer than they bargained for, Craddock's allies can efficiently swoop in and deal their own devastating blows over and over with pinpoint accuracy. Craddock alone is hardly a match for this monster. But he just needs to stay in the fight long enough for his powerful companions to achieve victory. And it is an unexpectedly daunting task to get this stubborn dragon to stay down once he so firmly opposes you.
For Craddock, in this moment everything is right. He is doing what he was hatched to do. And he will never back down.
My goodness, what an absolutely incredible scene.
I am awestruck by what
Vampi managed to accomplish here. This YCH turned out absolutely amazing, far more stunning than I could have ever imagined.
Honestly, I got chills when I first saw the finished product. My description isn't just roleplaying Craddock there, I can't get enough of that staredown between the small but mighty Craddock and the gargantuan Ashen Lord
Aetherios .
And yes, this was a YCH that I was lucky enough to hold, and I am so glad that I got the privilege of being included here. Craddock may not be the center of attention, but he certainly is bearing the brunt of this greatwyrm's attention, and that's everything he aspires for.
The massive dragon is
Aetherios and Craddock's two allies in this fight are
Nilsyn and
Righin .
This is an absolutely fantastic piece, and I am very proud to have it in my gallery, but make sure you check out the original on Vampi's page HERE!!!

...While that would probably help in a practical sense... I also really wanna make direct eye to eye contact to show no fear.
Trust me the increased mental damage will lessen more of the oncoming assault than the physical protection of the goggles ever could. It's all part of the plan!
