"We... we were attacked by surprise at dawn. They came out of the forest, a wave of bandits, mercenaries... I don't know..." I take a breathe and shake my head. "We were not prepared, not ready, and they stormed through the village, destroying what little defenses we had and killing everyone they encountered in their path." I pause and sigh, looking over the burning ruins. "We tried to run to the stronghold, but arrows began raining on us... I hid and waited, hoping the soldiers would come out and drive them away, hoping they would not discover me... I've heard of what they do to girls like me..." A shiver runs up my spine and I look at the captain of the guard, a female but also and primarily a warrior.

"Then you must be one of the lucky ones, I haven't seen any survivors until now. The rest of my platoon will be arriving in a half hour, they can escort you to safety. In the meantime, I'll be looking for more survivors." Reannah pauses to swat aside the burning debris with her claymore to forge a path. "I suggest you arm yourself with something to defend with."

Shivers ran down my spine as I looked at the captain of the Guard, a female; a attractive one but a powerful warrior.

"I... I don't know... I'd just arrived with the local Caravan and we were just gearing up to leave when they struck..." I paused to take a breath, before continuing. "They looked like bandits, but they were too skilled to be. They quickly overran the Caravan Guards and started attacking the village itself..." I grimaced, ears folding back in pain from my side still stinging from that Spell that had hit me earlier. "I tried to fight back, used my knowledge of the Arcane skill and my skill with the blade to try and fight them, but I didn't see that Warlock in the group until he blasted me with that Lightning Spell. If not for the Stoneflesh spell I'd cast earlier..." I started to stand, my eyes on the guard as I tried not to gawk at her shapely body. Divines, she was attractive! "I... Think I can stand... Good thing my sword wasn't stolen. I'll try and fight alongside you, we might end this faster if we watch one another's backs. I'll provide healing and a good sword arm whenever I can."
