Half a year passed, I can't get over how doubly symbolic today is. Please keep talking about this. Please don't get used to this. Please keep helping my people.

I was gonna draw a doodle and then I made something that took me an entire day, so in the and I didn't finish it on time, I really am getting slower with art...! Picture feat. unofficial version of Casimir - a lion felt more fitting, given my family's city and all.

City of Lions. I was there for the first time in 2012 as a tourist, before everything, and then spent a month there earlier this year. It's different now; how could it not be? Displacement shelters and bomb shelters and boarded-up church windows and military propaganda everywhere. But what struck me most was not that. It was the street musicians, and the people filling the parks, and the operas in the opera house, and the volunteers giving hot soup to new arrivals at the train station, and the everyday defiance of a city determined to live a normal life despite everything. The Ukrainian people have an astounding strength, and they won't be brought down.
Honestly, bless you for doing this! It's terrifying that this beautiful city is facing this, despite being so deep in the contry too...
And yes, I absolutely admire that, I think it's just incredible. I hope this strenght will help rebuild and make the country stronger and more stable than ever<3

Yes! Fortunately, they moved to Poland years ago, but my grandpa raised me in love to this city specifially, and I always felt so, so connected to it!
And yeah, I think that of all the people I know you understand it best, and it's always relieving to talk with you about this, to be honest. I hope you aren't facing harrassment over this lately, btw, I keep getting DMs about how can I follow Russian artists lately....and I can't imagine what it's like for someone like you, OTL.
