Canon:Shattered World
For those curious, yes the Beletiahns survived and thrived after the death of the old world! kinda, because they aren't exactly the same culturally anymore.

They are now essentially a proto-socialist matriarchy lead by the direct descendants of Mother Tahira, how it happened? her is a short explanation:

After the birth of the True Hermaphrodite a violent "civil war" among the major witch covens, they were divided between those who desired to bring the apocalypse lead by the Witch King Gwydion, and those who were trying to prevent the end of the world lead by Magdalena.

Magdalena managed to gather massive support of the southland covens, vastly outnumbering Gwydion forces, forcing the Witch king to play dirty, Gwydion named his bastard son Danadriel to lead the whole campaing against the rebel covens, Danadriel was far from being a competent or inspiring leader but his style of "High Speed Shock and Terror" was the edge Gwydion needed to win.

No one took Danadriel serious in the beginning of the campaign, but now empowered by his ascension to Zuriahn Prince, he became a very serious threat, being almost capable to defeat entire covens single handedly, as the campaing progressed Danadriel gathered a considerable army of the most violent and depraved magic users in the world, every single coven who tried to resist was crushed and their members suffered immensely.

When the war reached Tahira's door, she wished to resist she was willing to sacrifice her entire coven instead of surrendering. Realizing the madness of her mother,Anika gathered all the warriors of the coven and betrayed Tahira, after taking power Anika surrendered to Danadriel in exchange for her coven be spared, Danadriel agreed and honored the deal, and as gesture of good faith he spared the life of Tahira with the condition she would never be the head of the coven again.After some weeks Mother Tahira finnaly realized that she almost got her family and coven exterminated because of her pride, utterly ashamed of her deeds she willingly stopped taking the potions that extended her life and some years after this she perished to old age.

The war raged on for years until its conclusion with the bitter victory of the Witch King, a very short lived victory followed by the Great Shattering, millions died as the world shattered in several pieces drifiting in the skies, but billions died as a cloud of dust overtook the sky and block the sun almost completly, the once bountiful and fertile beletian lands withered away and died, in this long night the power of the beletian witches was put to the test, without the sun they had to use their magic to grow crops, what once was considered a almost useless school of magic became vital to survival.

As the time passed more and more desperate refugees found Anika's coven, beletians, kabirahs, omarites and all sorts of nearby tribes gathered in the search for food and shelter, as the population increased infights and despair raised forcing Anika to take drastic measures, she enforced an equal share of resources among all members of the group and spread the idea of a familiar bond among the once beligerent creeds, and those who disagreed were swiftly eliminated or exiled from the group...Once the dust settled Anika had a unified nation under her banner, a nation that rapidly grew and conquered the grasslands, as more settlements were built Anika saw the need to maintain not just order but ideological unity among them all, so every new city founded was commanded by a group composed of Anika's daughters, as centuries passed this matriarchy was expanded and consolidated all over the grasslands.

Currently these "Neo-Beletianhs" are one of the most advanced factions in the Shattered World, their once outdated tech is now the peak of civilization, and also now they are very capable of defending their turf...any one who raids or cause problems in this region...usually ends as fertilizer.
