For some unspeakable reason I had the urge to draw a CANINE! Incredible isn't it?!?
I also had the urge to draw a pavise shield. They are extremely underrated, considering how amazing some of the surviving ones look. Pavise shields were generally larger than the one I chose to draw, and were primarily used by crossbowmen, but as far as I know there were also smaller versions used by infantry as well. Crossbowmen or archers could stick the pavise to the ground by using a support and hide behind it to reload and shoot.
Both the design of the armor and the pavise are most likely not historically accurate, by the way. I didn't spend too much time looking at references.

Ah, THe Imagery of St. Mercurios or St. Christoper Cynocephalus . Bless you son, in all your endeavors.
The armor looks Plausible enough, and doesn't look like it will restrict movement. It has all the notable pieces in the right areas, and he looks appropriate for the early 1400s. He also has an appropriate back up weapon. Good Job.

Oh my gawd. I took a photo of a few medieval icons of St. Christopher this summer. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachme.....612_173152.jpg
Awesome work! You mention they gear might not be *completely* accurate, but did they did to have this much art on them? I get coat of arms, and I reckon some of those could be fairly detailed too, but did these shields tend to have this much going on on them?
Regardless, it's another awesome piece from you. Your cats are great, but what can I say, I'm a wolf/canine dude. X3

*Does quick online search* Wow, that's neat. XD
I guess I'm partly surprised, because I'd be thinking "I don't wanna bring this piece of art onto the battlefield to get banged and scarred up," but I guess on the other hand... lolIdunno, "why not," I guess? Especially depending on the financial resources for the warrior in question. Or were these surprisingly affordable? XD
