Rain yawned as she sat in one of the windows of the Castle of Light. She wore a long, flowing, earthen toned dress and a short cut leather vest. Underneath her vest were white wraps; carefully intertwined with one another as they coiled around her chest, covering her large bust. The anthro wolfess smiled to herself as a gentle breeze flowed past; causing her long hair to slightly cover her face. She reached up, brushing the silver hair from out of her face. Her hair was actually much, much longer fur; pulled back into a few braids.
Her left eye had a scar from her brow to her cheek; the iris was a dark crimson, the polar opposite to her bright green right eye. Rain had a very slender form, a perfect hourglass, and was covered in silky smooth, silvery grey fur. Sandals were on her footpaws, while a bracer/gauntlet mix covered her paws and forearms. She stayed in the window, in a slightly relaxed yet seductive pose, before her ears twitched. Rain sat up and looked around, her ears swiveling back and forth to pinpoint the sounds.
In a flash, she was out of the window and running down the hallway; a soft plodding echoing through the marble hallway as she followed the sound. It was a combination of someone calling for help as well as someone laughing; the ever faint, yet distinctive, sound of metal clashing against stone was a firm undertone to what she heard. Rain's paws instantly went to the opposite hip; gripping the slender hilts to her scimitars. The curved blades were covered in various runes and tribal engravings; giving the scimitars an eternaly sharp edge.
She slid to a halt in an archway and looked down at the Grand Hall below her. Rain's eyes widened upon seeing her step-brother Anubis advancing on a human. Her step-brother was a jackal, having gold tattoos to make him just like the Egyptian god of death he was named after. The wolfess let out a low growl before her eyes turned to the human crawling backwards from Anubis frantically. He was wearing cargo pants and a dark green t-shirt. The shirt had a snake on it, except it was the bones itself and it covered the right side of his shirt; ending on his stomach. Over his shirt was a black coat that went down to the main pockets of his pants.
Rain smiled tenderly, finding him rather cute. But, her thoughts needed to wait till later. The fact Anubis was attacking him was more important. The wolfess took a few steps back before running and taking a leap of faith out of the arch. "Anubis!!" she growled, causing her step-brother to look up; just in time to get a kick to the face. He stumbled backwards as she landed, rather gracefully, on the carpeted floor. She grinned before looking at the human.
"Are you alright?" the wolfess asked tenderly.
"Y..yeah..." he answered her, blushing a bit as he brushed some dirt out of his short, brown hair, "Thank you...for....you know...." The human motioned to the jackal who was still recovering from the impact.
She nodded, "Don't mention it. Now, get to cover, I'm going to deal with this jackal." Rain pulled her scimitars out of the loops around her waist before growling lowly. The human nodded and crawled behind one of the tipped over tables. Anubis soon recovered from the shock and looked at his step-sister.
"You bitch....how dare you do that," he snarled, unsheathing the other shortsword from the crossed sheathes on his back. Anubis gripped the hilts as he marched towards Rain. "I'll show you what happens to those who interupt my hunt."
Rain smirked, "Oh, your hunt? Is that what you call your massacres now? A hunt? How pathetic Anubis." She jumped backwards from a rage fulled slash; causing Anubis's longsword to spark on the ground. "Come, let us dance," she grinned, jumping back onto one of the long tables.
Anubis growled and followed her; instantly attacking the wolfess in a blind rage. She smiled and calmly parried and deflected every blow that came in her direction; being much more experienced in the way of the blade than the jackal. "Oh, I meant to ask," Rain said, smiling as she kicked Anubis back a few feet, "What's your name hun?" Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed the human peek out from behind the pillar.
"My...my name's Mitch," he answered, amazed from what he was seeing.
"Mitch, eh? Well, glad to make your aquaintance. My name's Rain, and you've already met Anubis. I'm dreadfully sorry about anything he had done to you," Rain responded, smiling calmly as she resumed deflecting the onslaught Anubis brought. Sparks rained down around the two canines as they attacked one another; the wolfess looking like she was performing an elegant dance.
Mitch smiled as he watched the two anthros, both amazed and in awe from what he was seeing. 'Anthros....real live anthros....' he thought 'This is amazing!! Though...still don't know where I am..." The human crossed his legs as he sat there, waiting patiently to see the outcome of the battle.
It didn't take long before Rain flicked her wrist, attacking in a brief opening. The blade's tip sliced Anubis's cheek, causing him to yelp in pain; which allowed her to continue her retaliation. Soon, blood was dripping down onto the table at a steady pace; the jackal's muzzle, arm and chest cut. They weren't deep, fatal cuts, but they were deep enough to draw blood. She smiled, knowing she had won.
Anubis growled lowly as he started to back up away from Rain; snarling at her. The jackat soon turned and dashed off, a paw clamped over his wounded chest. The wolfess huffed triumphantly before gracefully skipping off the table. She smiled and sheathed her scimitars as she strode over to Mitch; her hips swaying side to side subtly yet seductively. Once she was close, she dropped into a crouching position and smiled at the human.
"Now then, are you hurt?" she asked tenderly; her voice being calm and serene, having a motherly undertone. Mitch shook his head in a silent answer to her question. "Well, you don't mind if I take a look, do you?"
"Um...s-sure...I...I don't mind," he answered, blushing.
Rain smiled and said, "Well, just let me take your jacket off." She got closer to him before taking Mitch's jacket off. The human blushed a bit more as the wolfess did this, smiling shyly at her. Soon, Rain's paws were slipped under Mitch's shirt as she felt for broken bones and any form of cuts. Even though this happened in a few brief minutes, it seemed like an eternity for him. He looked into Rain's eyes, seeing them glistening slightly as she examined the human.
After a few moments, she asked him softly, "Do you have a place to stay Mitch? I mean, it's getting late and I'd rather you not walk home alone." Rain smiled at the human; the smile fading when she noticed him shake his head.
"No, I don't have a place to stay.." he said, "I used to, but I'd rather not go back there..."
Rain smiled shyly before standing up; holding a paw out to him to offer and help him up. "Here, take my paw," she told him tenderly, "You can come to my place. I'm sure that the others won't mind." Mitch nodded and reached up, placing his hand into her paw. She took a brief step back and pulled; bringing him to his feet easily.
Mitch blushed slightly and smiled at Rain, looking at the wolfess. She looked him over, holding his jacket in her paws now. "Here you...go...." she said softly, trailing off as she
realized the human in front of her looked almost exactly like her husband Stitch.
"Something wrong?" he asked.
"Oh, no...nothing's wrong...."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure. You just....look like my husband is all."
"Husband?"
"Yes, his name is Stitch."
Mitch's eyes widened slightly upon hearing his name. 'No...It can't be...' he thought, now knowing why Rain looked so familiar. Not only the name, Stitch, but the fact Rain told him that he looked like her husband made it clear to Mitch he was in Algriga. Instantly, a wide smile spread across his face.
Rain cocked her head to the side as she looked at the human, wondering why he was smiling.
"You're not undressing me in your mind, are you? Be honest," she said, looking at him.
"Oh, nononono," Mitch said, "I'm not doing that." He blushed as he smiled at her. Sure, he wasn't doing it when she said it...but now he had a better idea of what Rain looked like, since she was in front of him, the thought did cross his mind. Mitch shook his head a moment later, trying to get the image out of his mind.
Rain giggled and poked his nose teasingly before saying, "I just put the image in your head, I know it." She smiled and hugged the human gently, shifting into a large werewolfess as she did. Mitch blushed more, seeing how muscular and massive she had gotten. "I'm going to carry you. Besides, it would take forever at this pace," she said, referring to them walking side by side.
He nodded, not going to argue as Rain started running; her long strides carrying them over the fields that surrounded the Castle of Light. Mitch couldn't help but snuggle into the soft fur, feeling Rain's arms wrapped around him. He closed his eyes, starting to dose off. It had been a long day for him, and running from Anubis didn't help. The human was soon asleep in the werewolfess's arms, snoring softly. Rain giggled and smiled at Mitch as she kept running.
Mitch woke up with a start, feeling something poke his nose. Opening his eyes, he saw Rain had poked his nose with one of her claws; the black claws being somewhat sharp. He rubbed his nose and asked, "What was that for?" He didn't know how much time had passed, but from looking at his surroundings, he saw they were in front of a medium sized house that looked like a cross between a cabin and a cottage.
"We're at my house," she answered, "And I needed to wake you up." Rain set Mitch down on his feet and unlocked the door before going inside. The human blinked slightly, waking himself up, before following. Once he got inside, he noticed it was very cozy inside. A few pictures on the wall next to the staircase caught his attention; mainly one with a very large wolfess in it. Mitch walked over before blushing, realizing it wasn't a solo picture; but there were others in it.
The fact was the werewolfess was massive, easily dwarfing Rain and someone else; whom he quickly noticed looked like him, so he knew it was Stitch. "Who is that?" Mitch asked.
"That would be Twilight, the second oldest of my kids," Rain answered, smiling, "She was the runt of the litter before she hit her growth spurt. Her werewolfess form was what got affected the most. At last check, she was at least twenty-five feet in height. We dubbed this form of her werewolfess a megawolf, due to the massive size."
Mitch nodded and thought, 'Megawolf is right...' He smiled and kept looking at the picture before hearing someone walking down the stairs. Looking over his shoulders, the human's eyes widened as he saw what was obviously something he made up. Coming down the stairs, dressed in a muscle shirt and camo cargos was an anthro wolfdragon.
Rain smiled and said, "Hello Dre." Dre nodded and went over, hugging the wolfess tightly.
"Hello to you too Rain," he said, smiling as he felt her rub his arms; feeling the fur and scales on the wolfdragon. Dre chuckled before looking at Mitch. "And who might this be?"
"Oh, this is Mitch. He's a friend."
"A friend? Why does he look like Stitch?"
"Dunno."
"He's not a doppleganger, is he?"
"Oh, I'm sure. They usually smell like the person they look like. Mitch smells different."
"Alright....why's he here?"
"He doesn't have a place to stay and I offered him to stay here tonight."
"Just tonight?"
"Um....maaaaybeeee...."
Dre sighed and facepalmed himself slightly before looking at Mitch. "Alright, down the hall and fourth door on the right," he said, pointing down the hallway. Mitch nodded and headed off. The human opened the door, seeing it was a plain room with a double bed against one wall, a desk and a dresser for clothes. As he closed the door, he blushed, hearing some playful yips coming from Rain.
Mitch looked around the room, the yips and other sounds coming from the living room getting drowned out by the door and the sound of the approaching storm. He smiled and flopped down onto the bed; closing his eyes and dosing back off again.
