A little star that wandered too far from his home, Abiss found himself crash-landed on a frozen planet, lost and with no means of finding his way back. His presence caused a lot of commotion among that solar system's locals, however. As the legend goes a shooting star has the power to grant wishes, and while Abiss is fairly certain he doesn't have such an ability, that doesn't stop him from being chased down by mercenaries, treasure hunters, and anyone else who has a wish looking to be granted. Not wanting to be some prize to be captured, Abiss has been on the run, trying to find a way home. He managed to find a band of space pirates with their own ship that were willing to help him out in exchange for their own wish being granted. Abiss just hopes he can find some way to grant that wish before they figure out he's not as magical as they think he is.
