Sounds like they use the same orb process to imprison fellow dragons as they use to contain the final embers of essences that they collect from the mortals when they empty the body.
It didn't sound like a pleaent expiernce for what was left of the mortal, certainly doesn't sound better for a dragon. But this does bring up the question, why is her sister so bent out of shape to get her sister back if she put her in such a bad situation?
