I've been thinking of doing some kind of radioactive cave illuminated with glowing crystals, but apparently in a realistic scenario they aren't supposed to be glowing green. So I've been hung-up on if that's okay to do anyway I guess? Nothing is stopping "magical" radiation from being green, but there's also a different kind that's allowed to glow blue called Cherenkov-radiation:

I'd maybe have the character working on one of the crystals (or something) with some kind of machinery, perhaps breaking it down into a more-usable shape (taffy or powder?).
