Chapter 7: Your New Life - A nerve-wracking breakfast with an odd pair of rebel soldiers.
I always hate stories that take themselves too seriously but my attempts at humor absolutely fall flat.

Rana seems like such a scary mom figure.
Vidor made the right choice about extra onions. I do that. I actually remember being in the office once and someone was complaining about how many onions were in something and I remember remarking that I had asked for extras. They looked at me in disbelief.
And he eats food spicy as well. A minotaur after my own heart.
I should have guessed that they should have learned about Ari from Jean. That was kind of set up. I guess I was overthinking that. Though I did guess some of her backstory.
I don't like Mikali though. I understand why he's doing this, but I still don't like him.
"We already slept together." I'll be honest, your attempts at humor feel about as corny and cheesy as my own. They did give me a smile.

This one does kind of set the tone for the kind of characters Rana and Vidor are. Also, agreed, love onions (though I'm on Ari's side when it comes to spicy foods...).
Mikali doesn't mean to be so cruel, but sometimes you have to be the villain. I'm glad to hear you were amused by that attempt at humor; Vidor really needs to think before he speaks.
I'm immensely grateful that you'd keep at it, thank you very much for that.
