I was surprised of the SIZE of the Pucará the first time i get close to one, and is even more evident when you buy the 1:72 model. is TALL and also have a very wide wing. Plus is a very resistent plane. the only bad that have is that its instruments can´t be more basic XD

You aren't kidding, I mostly play DCS World by setting up air battles and letting the AI run them, the Pucara is a big plane which you can see when its placed beside others. It's also surprising how often it shoots down other aircraft in a dogfight! Though granted the AI pilots aren't the brightest or most observant...

btw currently reading 'Razor's Edge: The Unofficial History of the Falklands War' by Hugh Bicheno, only just started it but interesting so far.

I remember when a Sea Harrier shooted down one of our Pucarás in Malvinas, and basically the half remaining plane continued flying perfectly after being hitted by an AIM-9L Sidewinder so the pilot had any trouble to eject.
Or that other that returned to the base with 179 hits of 7.62 mm

The britishs have 2 of them and managed to get them fly with the lot of pieces of the 23 destroyed, and are into a "museum". looks like was brand new. love the british idea of "museum" XD

here we retired the Pucará BUT could return as Pucará Fénix, 6 planes aprox, doing works as the OV-1 Mohawk, SLAR radar included. Or simply could get new PT6 entines for the like 22 planes and get back as attack plane. deppends of the $ available. the priority is get finally some super sonic fighter, and is almost sure that we will end with the Chineese JF-17 Thunder

From the few available offers is the best.
F-16A MLU: too old, UK will do all to get off all the good equipement and also we have a very bad experience with spares and specially weapons with USA stuff
MIG-29 or 35: stupid Putler invasion ruined all. But even if we would get it, sure would had spare problems as always happends with Russian stuff
Hindu fighter that i can´t remember the name: too many british pieces. also a little short of range

so there is not much to get XD
