Medoro: No, not yet. *sighs* There has been a hitch in negotiations, but not an insurmountable one, I shouldn’t think. Once— and if— the bell is secured, I shall personally deliver it to the Magister to have the late Queen’s Magic released as it should have been permitted to do in the first place. She should finally be at rest after being held captive for so long. With that done the bell will be nothing more than a bell and we can all breathe easier.
I hate to have to ask this, but...
*kneels down and speaks quietly...
...are you absolutely certain you can count on that happening? That the Adjudicator still knows nothing about this? I would be terrified to see the Adjucator already waiting there upon delivery, and ordering you and the Magister to hand the bell over - an order neither of you could refuse. And with her 'vendetta' still unresolved, the temptation to take the power for herself to end it... it doesn't bear thinking about.

Medoro: *straightening with purpose and also lowering his voice* Should it come to that, and I anticipate that it might, I shall release the magic myself and suffer the consequences. For the good of the Realms, it must be done one way or another. The Magister can withstand my Mistress’s magic if it comes to a confrontation, and you are far too important to risk. I must be the failsafe.
Medoro: You underestimate my importance to the Court, though I am flattered by it. The Judicator, in her heart, wants precisely what I intend to do. I truly believe that when she is no longer blinded by her prize she will see that. *takes an unsteady breath* I have to hope that is true.
