The bipedal HMAICS variants were never adopted in large numbers, having only one additional weapon mount than their tracked predecessors, and more vulnerable means of locomotion. However, it was one big step towards the future humanoid bodies for the AIs.

The AIs really enjoyed the grabby arms.
