Rigel was born in 1979, which means this piece is set in the early '80s. So he could not be seen wearing the creeper shirt that's so often chosen for him. This is a nice '80s equivalent, and if my parents are to be believed, I was really into Pac-Man when I was a small kid.
Just like I don't actually own a creeper shirt, I never owned a Pac-Man shirt either though.
The artist came up with the rainbow belt, but I do have this very vague memory of actually having one when I was a young child.
And of course, I did play with ladybugs when I was young. I probably never had one on my nose though.
