HELLO ya'll! Let me introduce my babies to you. Meet anivi! The've been a huge part of my life for a few years and I'm finally ready to let the world know about them. Anivi are open to create and use in your settings and stories! I even made a free to use base for you, but lets make a deal - I'll post it after this submission got at least 10 favs. This species means a lot to me and feedback is extremelly apreciated.
I'll post more about them and their lore in the future!
What is the anivi?
The anivi are an open supernatural symbiotic dragon-like species – creatures that anybody can make!
Plural: anivi/anivies
Lifespan: immortal without symbiot
Adulthood: at age of one year
They are made of human strong emotions (love, hate, adoration, etc.) The emotion should be that strong that it starts to form an energy clot, which turns with time into an supernatural creature – anivi.
Appearance usually depends on their origin. For example, if anivi appeared from love, they most lilely would be in pastel colours. But this is not nesesserely!
Fun fact: «anivi» is fusion of the latin phrase «in animam viventem» - which means «living soul».
Anivi, being symbiotic creatures, may find their «partner» - the human (or any other intelligent being) that becoms their symbiot. Being symbiots means that both «host» and anivi recieve new abilities. The host now have supernatural abilities, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, the sixth sense. The anivi, being bonded to their host, now can shapeshift into ful-physical human form. Anivi also recieve energy from host (without harming one).
Many anivies dream about becoming human. But the bonding is not that easy — both host and anivi have to make a deal, in which they agree to be there for eachother no matter what happens.
However, now, since the bond is created, anivi is no longer immortal. Now anivi will die the exact same time their host passed away.
Only animals and other symbiot people may see anivi-partners. They won't become less real or completelly invisible. They just start using their abilities on manupulating people's perception filter, «erasing» themselves from hunam view. Than again, that won't work on people with their anivi.
Anivi may be killed with any weapon just like any living creature
Typically, anivi have hooves on their hind legs. But sometimes these can be crocodile paws (swamp subspicies). Swamp subspicies are the rarest among misfits and are considered as the highest rank. They have pongs between their talons and webbed crocodile feet.
Each anivi usually have two pairs of horns. Sometimes, the amount of these varies up to three pairs (rare). Anivies can't have anthles (if so, the character would be taken as non-canonical).
There are many scales thrown all on the anivies' body. They're mostly decorative. Sometimes the scales might form an actual armor.
All anivies have no physical sex (no genitalia) , since they born from emotions just like *poof*, they don't really need it. However, each anivi may chose their gender and pronouns, individually.
