While she was happy, the pregnancy was... 'rough' on Emelia, to say the VERY least. It was enough to nearly break Karl himself down near the end of it because her body just... wasn't doing too well.
He was incredibly worried.

But anyway.
I did actually make a small thread about this on twitter, but I just... haven't really written about it much...?? Mostly because it makes me very uncomfy. 🙃 But there WERE some mild 'complications' during the pregnancy with Adalwulf, but caused by and alleviated with her Cadou. To dumb it down, the parasite and the fetus pretty much fought eachother CONSTANTY as two living organisms in her body.
It sucked.
Alot.

But she lived through it, so I mean...//
