Dune fanart- My envisioning of one of the Spacing Guild navigators. I've always been enchanted by the concept.
If he was blue or green, I suppose he could be called a Deep One. . . Herbert must have been a fan of HPL, what with the things that were human and are not anymore, who reach through voids of space and then fold it, with their minds.
He probably should be blue. Why the hell orange has become the color popularily associated with melange, I don't know. . . the books seem to clearly state that it is blue.

No, man, Melange is orange. It just turns their eyes blue. (course, I'm only halfway through the second book... but I know it talks about the guildsman being suspended in a cloud of orange, cinnamon scented spice.
I clicked on this before realizing it was DUNE fanart, and probably would have fav'd it even if I wasn't familiar with the series. Neat stylization. =)
