A quick, after midnight drawing.
I cannot help it - i have a soft spot for petrification and inanimate tf's ^^. I wanted to make another gold tf for some time, so i thought it would also be a good practice the shading and stuff. I think the pic requires a bit of a background, so here it is:
This young minotaur lad is an adventurer. As all good adventurers he wanted to get some money, and thought that looting a local wizard would be a good idea. However his enthusiasm wasn't enough to make up for the lack of experience. He accidentally activated a magic trap the wizard set in his adobe. Luckily for our horny boy (no sexual context) the wizards had a change of heart. Mostly because he had enough of scraping adventurers from the walls after being blown, burned, ripped apart and generally being disposed in very messy ways. He thought, that if someone actually comes for treasures - he should get them (one way or another). Thieves get turned into statues. The wizards, after some time lets them go free, but till then... they make a beautiful decoration.
So the minotaur will soon find himself trapped in a new golden body, and will have to learn a few things, while staying at the wizards place (like "gold is silent").
Hope You all like it!

This is excellent work... You did a fine job mimicking the reflections off the smooth surface and his expression is perfect. I also like the fact that you didnt turn his clothing and equipment into gold too... So the evil wizard can remove them and replace them with whatever he likes... or not ;) A fitting reward for a thief!
Hmm... I think it depends. Maybe he has a different mass, due to the fact he is not a "solid" statue. Another thing is that his current state was caused by magic - thus it may have an influence on his physical properties, making him a bit lighter than regular gold (yet still heavier than his normal form).
If not, than yes - one heavy golden bull there ^^'

Petrification is a little further than I usually like to explore, but I will admit it tends to get my attention. I particularly like the use of the victim as a decorative statue, rather than just having them petrified for the sake of it. It's nice when they're still aware, too. Oh, and punishment-by-wizard is great as well. So yes, this is lovely.
By the way, no matter the material someone is wearing or changing into, you seem to do it well.
