more 3d tinkering (wip)

well its been a few months, but after watching a few tutorials and gassing myself up i finally started messing around with modeling in blender again! doodled up a weird alien critter and i'm seeing what i can do with him. so far i'm enjoying where it's going! and i've figured out a much better method than last time, which keeps the polys low enough that i don't smell smoke coming from my cpu :')
hoping to get this one fully rigged! this has been veyr slow going, so we'll see when that fucking happens lmao. i also definitely have a long way to go when it comes to sketching out ideas meant for 3d, because i've run into several problems with they way they're drawn already, although i've figured out workarounds for them thusfar. but anyway, i'm not dead, and i'm having fun learning this skill, so i'd call that a net win for me!
(note, his eye sockets are empty rn and i left a hole in them bc i'm not 100% sure how i want to handle them yet lmao. they aren't gonna stay like that, he'll eventually have proper eyeballs - although it did make for some neat follow-me effects when taking screenshots!)
