I’ve mentioned before how Shen is an asshole, but he has two variations of it. Sure, he talks down to people, manipulates them, and just likes to instigate for the hell of it all, but that’s more towards his real enemies. Towards his ✨frenemies✨ however, he’s more of an “I’m going to inconvenience you in the smallest, microscopic ways possible and watch you lose your sanity” kind of asshole. In this scenario, he’s just popping by to “check in” on Red Son. Touching his things, messing up his blueprints, nearly giving him a heart attack every time he turns a corner, y’know. Typical delinquent monkey behavior. The fire demon being pestered doesn’t appreciate it that much.
