The former leader of the Tunnel Snakes gang, Sano was defeated by Kiryu and then recruited into the Toho for his unique experience as a brawler. Despite being far less professional than most yakuza, his unshakeable loyalty to the city stands the test of time.

Amazing it took me THIS LONG to upload a pic of Godzilla's most famous sidekick. I guess that's fitting for how often he gets shoved to the sidelines XD but here at last we have the strongest spiky boy, which  jamescorck did a really good job with getting that back to fit in the jacket! I especially like the parking lot background in this, for some reason.

Out of Godzilla's friends, I found him pretty easy to write, though there was a little back and forth as to whether him or Kiryu should be the more reckless one. Once the backstory of him being a former street gang leader came up, it made more sense that he was the former hothead, but always on the side of right.
