Tuna Pasta Bake
Ingredients
1 ½ cups of cooked pasta of your choice
400g canned tuna in brine (drained)
200g canned peas
200g canned corn kernels
Salt and pepper to taste
Mixed herbs and powdered garlic to taste
2 cups cheese sauce (either homemade or instant)
Topping
Thinly sliced or grated cheese (tasty cheese or any good melting cheese of your choice)
Parmesan cheese (optional)
BBQ sauce and Tomato sauce
Garnish
A little parsley
Method
Preheat oven to 180ºC (about 350ºF)
Combine drained tuna, peas, corn, cheese sauce, salt and pepper, mixed herbs and powdered garlic.
Put this mix into casserole dish or ceramic baking dish large enough to be about 1cm below the rim.
Carefully lay out the thinly sliced cheese to cover the top or sprinkle evenly with the grated cheese.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Using a piping bag or squirt bottle, create a cross pattern alternating with BBQ sauce and Tomato Sauce (alternately just use either to make a pretty pattern.
Bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned
Serve with a garnish of parsley and enjoy.
