In a second it was over. The blade flashed and feathers rained to the ground.

“Sir! What have you done!” A sky grey pegasus with an auburn mane and wings leaped off the cloud and landed beside the stallion as he collapsed to his knees, dropping his blade.

“Wow, losing the magic really takes it out of you... I'm sorry you had to suffer that, son...”

Green rushed to his father's side. “Dad.”

“Miss Honeyfeather, w-what are you doing here?”

“Making sure you didn't do something stupid. Why did you do this?”

The stallion extended his damaged wing to gather his son a little closer to his side. “Green is all that I have left of his mother. When she died, I threw myself into my work, ignoring the most important treasure she left me. Now, I have some time to be an actual father and be with my colt.”

“But the quarterly projections! The company cannot run itself!”

“That is why I have you, my valued assistant! I'm sorry that this is a little short notice, but I've watched your organizational capabilities blossom since you joined the company. You know that you can still reach me here if anything unusual comes up. I have faith in you!”

The pegasus mare blushed slightly and briefly. “Yes sir!”




Hate when I finish writing, draw the picture, get everything colored and shaded, then realized that I contradicted my color description. Ah well, that is the nice part about digital, easier to make edits! =^^=
