More remains of the Conodonta. These beautiful, shiny, little teeth are made of the same calcium phosphate (the mineral called apatite) that your teeth, and vertebrates' teeth, are made of. You are related to these tiny creatures that lived between the late Precambrian and the end of the Triassic.

I had a dream once that I want to make an image of using Blender, or maybe make it out of clear glass--
I was in Big Bend, in the searing heat of the Chihuahuan Desert, and there were these beautiful Paleozoic brachiopod fossils lying on the ground--they had mineralized into what looked like clear glass, perfect preservation of all their elegant ridges, hinges, etc. The image appears to me any time I think of brachiopods or Big Bend N.P., Texas.
