Ahh, I would be so happy if John actually became Karkat's kismesis =w=
So basically I imagined something like this happening when the phrase in the comic came by a few times. I imagine this happening in a troll restaurant or something, and two kismesises snarling at each other or beating each other up is something akin to making out at the table. Seems Karkat just couldn't resist, though, he hates John that much ;w; GET A RESPITE BLOCK YOU TWO.
EDIT: The boys back in /co/ told me his eyes are blue not brown. Fixed :D

Yeah sorry XD It'd take paragraphs to really explain what's going on, but to be short, the troll species considers hate as a romantic bond as well as love, and the troll there is known as the most intensely hateful character in the comic, and holds a special hate towards John. The hate symbol is a spade, like love being a heart. John doesn't hate Karkat back, though, and it made Karkat sad :< This is a what-if thing XD
Well the problem is some people think the trolls have already gotten way too much screen time and really hate all the romance bullshit, and wish the comic was just more about exploration and super-abstract adventure, like it was in the beginning. I personally find it pretty much perfect where it is, but then again I'm a nutjob for pairings and shit XD
I personally don't think the trolls have gotten too much screen time. They just ended up becoming way more popular and loved than the four children the comic started out with, and this clearly shows through the massload of troll fan art you can find everywhere. This is probably the reason why people are fed up and why they want the comic to go back to how it was.
