For my newest cosplay...a FF12 style moogle riding a lifesized chocobo! I'm sooo happy with this so far...I'm trying to figure out what would be the lightest material I could get to make his little antenna ball so that it bounces without drooping

only prob with the ping pong ball is that it's not large enough...the FF12 version moogles had a ball that was HUGE compared to it's earlier versions

Old but I used a wire frame that connected to the mesh and held together with zipties
x: it was very light and stayed up nicely, it has a lovely bounce to it and is very posable x3

the foam is an upholstery foam ( the type used for furniture). It can be bought at stores like Michaels and JoAnn Fabrics and comes in different thicknesses from 1/2" to 5" and you pay per yard. This stuff can get expensive so it's best to go in with a coupon or wait til it goes on sale, which it does quite regularly. It's generally green in color but I've heard it comes in others. Green can be a problem if the fur you buy is thin...the green WILL show thru. I'm using alot of 1" thick foam for this costume since it's pretty rigid but still thin enough to get the job done. You can glue this stuff together with hot glue but I recently discovered CONTACT cement (NOT to be confused with rubber cement) I can't seem to find a large jar of it but, hands down, this stuff is SOOOOO much better than any glue I've used so far and the bond is as flexible as the material it's bonding...
