Quinnen Talian, once a fledgling conjurer who became a skilled and fierce white mage and devoted healer. Sometimes naive or idealistic to a fault, he is an adventurer full of heart happy to follow the winds and rains to test his mettle to indulge or to come to the aid of another.

A lonesome but happy child to a skilled goldsmith, Quinnen became starstruck by a band of adventurers that saved his caravan from an attack, especially the conjurer that soothed his fright and healed his wounds to the best of their ability (though he'd retain the scar beside his eye into adulthood). With his mother's grace, he left the caravan to enlist in the Conjurer's Guild of Gridania where he learned of his innate talent and stores for magic and channeling aether and also fell under the tutelage of a fellow young conjurer of acclaim, Elyssia Tr'iere. Starstruck once again by a peer of such skill and confidence, Quinnen admired her and cared for her as his closest friend dearly (despite her less than friendly actions). She helped him on his own journey until his skill caught the attention of the seedseers. He's continued to hone his craft and admire the skill and grace of his friend Elyssia, always looking up to her with love and admiration (perhaps ignorantly or graciously oblivious of her jealousy and struggle to not take his successes as barbs).

Quinnen is an adventurer in his heart, enjoying the freedoms of being able to wander and roam while lead by his curiosity and desire for finding joy and memories along the way. He's sometimes considered kindness incarnate but those that truly know him are also aware of his skill and determination to prove his mettle. He's always one to speak up to injustice or extend a wing to defend others, though sometimes he's overprotective to a frustrating fault. He can also give too many chances or be too forgiving, but his lover Sainte and Elyssia are always ready to step in to protect or defend him when his heart gets the better of him. He is a grounding and stable force for many friends and only ever wishes for their peace and happiness and joy, welcoming them under his wings and safety in his nest. But when push comes to shove he is as fierce as an infuriated swan and then no antagonist is safe from his measure.

My darling swan prince, I really adore Quinnen as a character and that he's such a steadfast pillar of love and support and faith for my other characters who bear heavier brunts of personal struggles and weaknesses...basically I looked at my FFXIV cat boy and said "I'm going to make an OC so mentally stable and healthy and sound of mind..." and while I sometimes worry he may not feel as interesting or dynamic as some of my other characters like Elyssia, he is a comfort and lovely presence in my heart that builds and uplifts even more of my OCs <3
