One usually nice aspect of any new form is exploring all the capabilities it allows over your normal one. For instance this aquatic one gives way better hydrodynamic mobility, as well as relative safety from extensive underwater excursions due to innate water breathing. However, sometimes there's often more unexpected aspects to it, such as the discovery that it's also like, really squishy. Basically a living memory foam marshmallow, that compresses extremely easily under most any force. Guess it's a side effect of being built for underwater environments, if anything. Which is all well and good until your roommates discover this means you can basically be stuffed into any size container with extreme ease, like they were packing away a pillow for storage. Figures they'd pick something thematically appropriate for this one, too. You have no idea how hard it is to type with your entire body folded over itself from being crammed into a fishbowl, fug.
So some friends may have put this idea in my head back when I was designing the fishelizr form, and I kinda couldn't help but make it a thing. Certainly facilitates all manner of squishy nonsense if you can be smooshed into any size container with hardly any effort on whoever else's part, and I suppose that's kinda what I'm here for now, isn't it, hheh.

I knew it! It took one day for him to end up inside a container smaller than his own head!
In all seriousness, that squishiness would actually probably work really nicely for deep sea pressure, so that's a lovely idea for sure. Can't say the same when poor Spez is in the hands of his freinds, but hey, I don't here him complaining!

Heehehe, might be a bit of an inevitability, yeah, but it's hard for others to resist utilizing such useful new features, I figure. And I mean, hard to complain much when one's mouth is so frequently smooshed shut. Not that there would be much protest even when that isn't the case, hheh. π¦
