Hey folks! =D Got a new little tiny cutie for you all to enjoy!
I always told myself I'd make a Zorua character someday (I love the cute little evil fox! 8D) and that day has come! Meet my newest character, Mio's second roommate, and the latest fox at the PCA!
Say hello to Gabriel Inari Shisaito! ... carefully now, no loud noises. <,<; he cries easily...
Character owned by me.
Name: Gabriel Inari Shisaito
Nicknames: Demon, Monster Child, Evil Child (given by the elders of the town) Sissy, Girly boy, Wimp, Crybaby (given by his peers and other kids in the town) Kit, Little Angel (given by his parents)
Sex: Male
Species: Zorua
Type: Dark
Ability: Illusion
Age: 14
Height: 3’7”
Weight: 52 lb
Eye Color: Piercing Blue
Hair Color: Dusk Grey with Deep Red Accents
General Appearance: Timid, quiet, meek, and shy the short zorua is easily mistaken for a lost child. He keeps his fur clean, neat, and orderly, though he’s not quite happy about how far the tuft of it on top of his head sticks up, and it shows with the extra softness and shine his coat has. His eyes normally have a large and watery look to them, tipping folks off to the fact her cries easily if his sad expression didn’t already. Thanks to his heritage his tail is a bit fluffier then normal.
Clothing Style: He can wear normal outfits, t-shirts, shorts, jeans, and the like, but if given a choice he’ll always go for the clothing his mom sewed for him. All of which are traditional Japanese style outfits, mostly children’s kimono of various colors and styles (most with an obvious Pokemon based color or design scheme) along with a few coats and other stuff. He takes pride in these outfits and doesn’t like it when people mess them up or make fun of them… though he’s more likely to cry about it then anything else.
Accessories: Normally doesn’t have any accessories but on occasion he will have a small backpack to carry his stuff around in with him.
Sexuality: Straight
Preference: Female
Status: Single, hasn’t even considered looking and far too shy to.
Birth Origin: A small town West of Karakusa Town
Currently Located: Viridian City
Family: Akagi Shisaito (Arcanine, Father)
Izanami Shisaito (Zoroark, Mother)
Personality: Shy, timid, and sweet Gabriel could be a born people pleaser thanks to his cute looks… if he wasn’t impossibly people shy. In one on one encounters he’s quiet and shy but more or less okay, but the more people in one place the more likely he is to just try and fade and hide into the background. He tends to be quiet and a little scared when meeting new people and will normally just try and go unnoticed and not draw attention to himself whenever possible. Beyond this though he’s incredibly sweet and kindhearted, willing to help folks whether he’s scared of them or not… though he’s more like to run off afterwards than stick around, and kindhearted to almost everyone whether they return the kindness or not. He tends to be a bit wimpy thanks to how person shy he is and the fact that he cries impossibly easily, often breaking into tears over the smallest things. Thanks to how kind he is Gabriel seems to be unable to get angry… this isn’t quite true. He does have a small temper if you push the right buttons but its little more then shouting and barely last more then a minute. He also tends to expect the worst of most people simply thanks to his unfortunate experiences growing up, but he doesn’t let this change his kind nature. All in all despite some serious unresolved issues Gabriel is a sweet little fox and a nice guy.
History: Gabriel’s parents were young lovers who settled down in a quiet, peaceful little town hoping to find an ideal place to start a family. What they found instead was a small town which still strongly believed in superstitions and folklore, one such legend being about how Zoroark and Zorua were evil tricksters and monsters. Naturally they didn’t take kindly to the wife of the newcomers and likely would have run her out of town if it wasn’t for the fact her husband was a teacher and if she left so did he. Since their school was in desperate need at the moment they decided to let them stay till a better time came up and instead spent that time making sure the “Monster” was made as unwelcome as possible. Taking this in stride as well as they could the couple pressed on, sure that the town would eventually come to their senses…
Then the blessed day came and the couple found themselves gifted with a precious little boy. He took a lot after his mom including being much shorter then average, having dainty little paws, but most tragically of all… her species. Trying to make him “Fit” better with the locals they decided a more normal name might help so they named their child after the precious angel they saw him as, Gabriel, but sadly it didn’t help. Infant or not they found their child not spared the same hate his mother had endured and were constantly forced to shelter him… they considered moving multiple times but sadly with money as it was they simply couldn’t. As Gabriel grew he only had the barest understanding as to why he received cold glares from the adults of the town, hateful words from the towns elders, and constant harassment from the children he tried to befriend.
In a small town still rather behind the times Gabriel just didn’t fit with the children in any sense, besides the irrational dislike of him their parents passed down he was also a timid, tiny mon who was one of the easiest to pick on kids around… so naturally anyone and everyone who could enjoyed making the little guys life a living heck, both cause their parents looked the other way and cause Gabriel never fought back. With all this torture you’d think Gabriel would grow to be antisocial and spiteful, something his parents regularly feared he’d end up as, but through it all the little zorua’s gentle and kindhearted natured remained strong even if he became scared to be around folks.
It was this very fact that actually started to change a few attitudes in the town. Several adults found that no matter how cold they acted, or how much anger they directed at the “Monster’s Child” it never struck back, got angry, or did anything other then repay then in kindness and a hurt kind of fear… eventually more and more folks started realizing this and decided to get to know Izanami and Gabriel a little bit better instead of blindly hating them as they had for the past several years. Thanks to this the tide of opinion slowly started to change and get better for Gabriel and his family… with two notable exceptions. The children still considered him an easy bullying target even if their folks no longer approved, and the town elders still hated them for being “Monsters” and “Deceiving the townsfolk for so long”
As Gabriel grew his parents knew how much he longed to see more of the world thanks to how he was always enraptured with stories of his parents hometown and how his face lit up every time they got the rare chance to visit there. Finally when the borders opened up they stumbled across a solution, a way to let Gabriel see more of the world and hopefully encounter children his own age that don’t automatically hate him. Thanks to the zorua’s excellent grades in school and a few favors called in by his father they managed to set their child up with a scholarship to attend the prestigious PCA… they wish their son the best of luck… and at this point he’s going to need it.
Moves:
Freshman: Agility, Night Burst, Trickery, Devastate ™
Fighting Style: While fighting in and of itself is a relatively unfamiliar concept for Gabriel he’s already got several skills he can apply to it, first and foremost being running away really fast. While he never could bring himself to strike back against his tormentors he could run away from them and usually manage to get away. He applies this in the arena to try and keep as far away from his opponent as possible. While doing this he uses his Night Burst and Devastate (a move he learned so he could be a little more like his dad) to try and wear down and hopefully beat his opponent (oddly enough both attacks have a distinctive shape to them, namely having the rough outline of a young fox. This is apparently also a hereditary trait according to his mom but she’s been tightlipped as to any more about it) When all else fails he’ll use Trickery to try and turn his opponents strength against him. Being horribly unskilled and inexperienced in battling he makes plenty of rookie mistakes and he’s also having to learn how to strike at his opponents which is proving to be the hardest thing for him.
Miscellaneous Facts: Like all of his species his Illusion ability lets him take on different forms (though turning into a girl is always a sensation that weirds him out) to hide himself… but Gabriel has a rather unique problem. While he can easily make himself look like other folks he has slight trouble adjusting his size… he literally can’t manage anything taller then 4’3”, he tries to look like anyone bigger than that and he ends up looking like a shrunk down, child-like version of themselves. Oddly enough it’s become a popular parlor trick with folks asking him to show it off.
He has always wanted a pet, but thanks to his families money issues he has never been able to get one. Thanks to this he tends to fawn over ferals of any kind.
He HATES when people bring up his size, particularly when it’a something to do with him having trouble reaching or doing something. The only thing he hates more is when people pick him up without asking first. This is a sure fire way to make the little guy start crying.
He is a surprisingly good cook, being taught a lot about traditional Japanese style cuisine by his mother. He is always happy at any chance he gets to show these skills off.

Adorable. Good backstory too; fitting for his species. Although ironically despite him being 'short', he's actually taller than about three of my characters. Admittedly I should probably do something about their heights; I have a feeling that they're probably much further off from their heights in my mind's eye than I think. Anyway, very cute; and it's nice to see more less skilled fighters and scholars in the PCA. Last time I checked out the wiki I only found three students with below average marks or fightng skill. But yeah, well written and I love tiny shy boys.
Okay, that sounded completely and utterly wrong; but hopefully you know what I mean.
Also, LOUD NOISE! *laughs maniacally*

Omg he's so freaking adorable- I swear I could just eat him up! His backstory is tragic by all means but I'm glad some of the village has finally gotten it though their skulls that he and his mother are not monsters.
Brianna: OMG, SO CUTE! *huggles the small Zorua* Cute! Cute! Cute!
Hannah: *in a somewhat chastising but calm voice* Bwi, you're scaring him. * To Gabriel in a very calm and sweet voice* Come here sweety, No one's going to hurt you.

Toki: You don't, I am just a visiter, My name is Toki(hes my char and the First ever PCA Toxicroak) *he puts the necklace around Gabriel's neck* When ever you feel sad or lonely rub the metal face of the Zoroark and you'll find comfort, cause we are all special, your special too
