Check it out!!! celyddon made a REAL snowgryphon! :D http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5207445/
My holiday card for 2010 - as is tradition, it features Solstice with her forest buddies in a wintery land. :3 Here, she decides to build a snow gryphon with some help (?) from the other residents of the woods. Though such 'help' is questionable...particularly from a raven who may be adding or removing that acorn eyeball, and a fox who probably doesn't have his eye on berries!
I'll also be posting these on DA prints, so if you'd like to send these to your family and friends, you can! The original is also available - note me if interested.
Ink and watercolor on hot-press Fabriano, 7.5 X 10.5 inches.

Yep, it's just watercolor over ink. :3 I weight the lines to give everything a sense of dimension before even adding any color. It's the same trick comic artists use - even though they shade with color, the lines have weight as well. It helps establish foreground (heavier lines) with background (lighter lines).
