150 Watchers: 025-026 Pikachu and Raichu
I’m doing the 150 Pokémon for my first 150 FA Watchers
LinkTheGamer
Link was my last October 2012 follower, slightly disappointing considering how fast my watcher base had grown in the late spring/early summer, but again, I was uploading less.
Link is a mouse-rat hybrid who loves vore, so to him I dedicate possibly my first-ever straight-up vore picture. I couldn’t find a canon answer to what size Link is supposed to be so I just made him the most convenient size to be vored by a Pikachu (Pikachu is 1 ft tall so I guess he’s 2 inches?) I again regret the low resolution I’m working in as I could’ve given Link himself so much more detail with my normal process.
The Pikachu is a female Mystery Dungeon Pikachu for multiple reasons: firstly, I realized a moment too late that I didn’t include any “anthropomorphic element” in yesterday’s Ekans picture, so I’m compensating by putting double the anthropomorphism today. Secondly, I saw hints in Link’s gallery that he preferred vorers who knew what they were doing, so I pulled my pikachu a step further from animalistic. Thirdly, going through Link’s favorites I didn’t notice a preference for the vorer’s gender so I honestly went with the one I personally liked better.
I was a long time deciding whether Link should be on a spoon, a sandwich, or chopsticks before realizing the Mystery Dungeon universe shows none of these, and I’d end up with another “caterpievolution” scenario where I’d have to come up with an explanation for these elements. The main challenge here is that Pikachu’s arms are ridiculously short compared to the size of the species’ head, which is exactly what you don’t want when you want a character bringing something to its mouth! I had originally thought she’d rest her other hand in her lap, but then I realized her legs are also ridiculously short!
Nightwolf1513
Nightwolf watched in December of 2012. I was basically dead online at this point because I was finishing my bachelor’s thesis (indeed, I wasn’t even sleeping!), so I guess she found me through a search query or a comment I’d left earlier.
It was hard to figure out what she would like but I eventually found a common theme in all her art: cuddling. She likes cuddly furs. But only ones that are at least as anthropomorphic as she is, so with that I had what Raichu would be doing.
I’m basing Nightwolf’s reaction off a single line on her profile: “not looking for a relationship”.
The Pokémorph universe has no hard and fast rules, but I’ve always liked to think that trainer/team relationships still exist to some degree. So, from Raichu’s point of view, he’s just a kitty rubbing his head into his trainer, even if he is fully anthropomorphic.
I think this may be the first time all the regular things that give me trouble, didn’t give me trouble. The hands came easy, as did the feathers and the expressions… it was Raichu’s feet that got me. I really can’t draw long rabbitty feet so I found myself thinking of Roger Rabbit the whole time but refusing to look up a reference!
As with the twitter sketches, if you want yours colored, or if you want me to edit you in to somebody else's, I'll happily do it for $5 (not counting shading)
