So this is basically a new take on the "this is a Christian server" meme. Lucieldur must partake in superhero work as part of his parole. Too bad his team he was assigned to has a manager that is quite the religious nutcase, that being the famous superhero Percival Brightscale himself, who demands other methods of saving the day that don't go against his holy book.

interestingly enough, the practice of sorcery, magic and other otherworldly practices are condemned because ultimately the rules that they draw from are sources other than God and usually, even in Dr. Strange's case, the rules of the "world" which is derived from the Devil. In Dr. Strange's case, it may be permitted because it is a not commonly known function of reality and therefor not sorcery at all, however, as Dr. Strange revealed, there are "magicks" that are derived from otherworldly forces. Interestingly, the Bible is very specific about pointing out "falsehood" and lies as quite commonly, these people were only out for their own gain or did not know what they were getting into.
it seems to be quite the complicated topic given today's society and how tales are told. There are many speculations, but the bible is specific to govern by faith and to tell others of their wrongs but not to judge them for these acts for none are perfect except God.
Most of the topics about faith also reveal not to condemn someone for their acts because it is not their authority to do so. In this instance, the source of their magic would probably be what decides what is allowed or not allowed. The Bible even points this out as Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law."
The bible even speaks highly of self-sacrifice, such as luke 17:33 "Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it." and
Philippians 2:3-4
"Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others."
as well as that heroes put themselves into danger for others behalf. I'm therefor not sure how you could be "assigned" to be a hero, but if one were to dutifully perform their role,
Romans 12: 1 - 8 , " I appeal to you therefore, brothers,[a] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[b] 2 Do not be conformed to this world,[c] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[d]

Gifts of Grace
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4 For as in one body we have many members,[e] and the members do not all have the same function, 5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6 Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 7 if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8 the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[f] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
