So... here's a remaster of an old chiptune I did, Ouroboros! I submitted it to the... 2021? #Express_Yourself contest here on FA as a minute-long sample, but was inspired to fill it out into a proper-length piece. It's inspired by the Ouroboros, of course, an ancient symbol of a serpent/dragon eating its own tail, representing the cycle of renewal that several ancient cultures worshipped. Here, instead of the traditional serpent, I thought it would be funny to have it be a Mewtwo eating their own tail, so... I tried my best to make it a reality. I'm not great at art, so he looks a little more like a pig but that's OK I guess.

The original submission is here on my main account: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/40288987/. It was made in LSDJ running on two instances of bgb, a Game Boy emulator. This new version was made on a Dirtywave M8, an LSDJ-inspired hardware tracker that works practically like a Game Boy but better, at least when it comes to music stuff. I'm having a lot of fun with it, so expect some new chiptunes to come out soon!

Oh -- I think it may be worth mentioning, most of the processing done on this chiptune is done solely on the M8. The only thing I did in-DAW was a bit of EQ and sweetening with tube saturation and stereoization for the parts that weren't already stereo because of the M8's chorus effect.
