The new creature looked around a bit before noticing and locking eyes with Shadow. Arching its back with an angry growl as it slowly backed up. Shadow was bigger than her and was taken as a threat. After a moment she swung around and took off, kicking up snow in her wake. Startled Shadow paused a moment before giving chase.
He knew there was no way he could lose track of her. If she remained out here when dawn came she's return to normal and be stranded out in the bitter cold without a chance.
He was faster and stronger than her, but it was like chasing down a feral animal. Darting between trees and changing direction frequently, trying to lose him. Once he'd gained enough ground he pounced and tackled her from behind. She gave out an angry cry as they both slid against the snow covered ground.
