Here's an example of the highly detailed backgrounds I was talking about in my journal. This picture is no where near finished yet. I don't have the scenery in the distance colored yet (it's just a flat green right now), I don't have any shading and I don't have any textures. Right now I'm just working on color adjustment in the foreground.

And I know having a pink bow and arrows and purple clothes isn't very dignified for that guy but that's the only color of dyes that can be found in that environment.
