Only the very oldest of us remember a time before she was Queen. It's the end of an era for so many millions, especially in Britain. Like her, I adore both dogs and horses, for their simple companionship, loyalty and wondrous beauty. Rest in peace, Ma'am. King Charles will not have as long, but I hope he does as well with the time he has.
