Page 6 of Synodic Link; read the comic here: https://mspfa.com/?s=42253&p=1
An aerial shot of a city in Seliah; the story of Synodic Link begins in a restricted Banshian ruins on its outskirts.
The giant structure present here is a Greenhouse Spire; Nobriel has three of these massive objects which serve to readjust the atmosphere to make the overall planet a more habitable climate. As a result they are surrounded by an area known as a superdesert, a small yet incredibly arid and uninhabitable land. These structures have existed long before adlet civilization and were presumed to have been built by Banshians, the former main life on Nobriel who all mysteriously disappeared at one point in the distant past, before adlets came to be, making them somewhat of a mysterious legend of the planet.
By some miracle of technology, the area just outside of a Greenhouse Spire's superdesert feels perfectly fine, as the heat seems to be perfectly contained within a specific radius from the spire. That said, the spires still make for an incredibly ominous feature of the planet considering their space-reaching scale, the lethal superdesert surrounding them, and the possibility of catastrophic failure (see the previous iteration of this comic, Synodic Reboot, if you're curious what would happen if, say, a meteor struck down one of the stabilization towers. Hint: It's not good)
