This is part of my art for the species meme: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2386983/ (extended version). While the inks are in different files, the completed piece will most likely just be put up as one file (possibly multiple files, although in that case they will be put in scraps).

I figured that since Med-Night is a shapeshifter, I had to take advantage of this meme. ^_^ Although I also wanted to pick a few more unusual animals as well as just some of my general favorites.

First is the rodent, the long eared jerboa at the top of the page. These guys are adorable. I saw them on Animal Planet once and they are really cute. ^_^ I really need to draw them more. As does everyone else. :) Another favorite here.

Next is the marsupial category, sugar glider. I couldn't resist drawing it. Although unfortunately, this picture looked better in my head than on paper. >_< And oh drat, I just realized I forgot to ink a line on her back foot for her white socks. Oh well, I'll fix that with the color stage.

And then at the bottom is the green anole for reptiles. Again, another favorite. Saw one at a pet store and it was tempting to buy one, but that would be weird since I use to catch these guys all the time as a kid. So much fun, especially when you can "put it to sleep" (put it on it's back and rub it's belly and they just go into a trance almost). I had to draw it! Another fun one. Also, it looks so different than Med usually does.
