i just dont understand gimp i only use it for the transparency cause my other programs WONT DO IT and i can't even figure out cropping except for after like ten minutes

The white border stuff is because .gif and 8bit .png don't support semi-transparent pixels, so you get a 'matte' colour in the background, usually white. There might be the option to set a matte colour manually, which you'll want the same as the background you use on FA, like #2E3B41.

24bit .pngs do however support semi-transparent pixels, but I'm not sure how FA supports them.
